Easy Running System

Because timed movements can be disrupted if the player has control while they're executing. It can hang the game along with other unwanted effects.

I actually have multiple tiles of the same things at different positions for that exact reason, BD. =) So I'll try a few other copies of them and see what fits better.

I think with the crates, barrels, pots, baskets, and various other objects there's about 30 clones of each one at different scales and positions. Hard to explain. Hold on, I'll show ya.

See? I have each one hugging left, center, and right, and also groups of barrels. I've done this for tons of other objects in the set as well.

I might have used the crates intended for a different map there. I have like, 30 of them ripped in the tileset. I'll try changing them around and see what looks best.

Chrono Alter

I forgot to subscribe before, but I'll do so now; and of course, I'll give any new release a shot. =)

Open Call for Beta Testers!

Since the game uses Charlie Fleed's CTB 3.1, and a new release (3.2) may be coming really soon, I MIGHT hold off an extra few days to insert the updated scripts. But I have no idea when the release is set to come to us, so for now everything remains on the same schedule.

There will be a lot of things that are meant to be broken, but I'll include a list of things to ignore.

Chrono Alter

I sure hope so. I don't mean to be cruel, but I stopped playing this after about 30 minutes. The main reason was the awful mapping, errors, and the absolutely useless dialogue. I'll explain...

The mapping probably doesn't need much explanation, as almost every map was square shaped with no flow to the tiles. Grass abruptly ended instead of using a rounded or styled auto tile. There were several errors in the first 30 minutes. The guards in the first castle will repeat their dialogue and move event over and over if you step on the space that triggers them again and again. The woman, Tanya, runs around like she's on speed after she wakes you up. The arrow that points up in shops has a graphical glitch. The teleport takin you into the first town puts you about four spaces right of the actual entrance. These are just a few.

The dialogue is absolutely the worst part and is the one thing that made me say, "OK, enough of this." FIVE NPCs in two locations talking about flowers? Oof.

I wish I could have stayed interested long enough to get farther into the game, because I like what I see in the videos and other players' reactions, but I apologize, I just couldn't. I am looking forward to a revamped version, though. So please please continue to work on this, Lance. It could be really great.

P.S. Have you thought about using XP or VX for a revamp? You'd be able to mimic CT battle styles with Atoa's CBS, I think.

Open Call for Beta Testers!

Ain't finding game-breaking errors fun? =P OK, so it'll probably be a few days, possibly a week before I am ready to start sending out tester builds, but I'll put you on my list! Thanks for volunteering.

You're right, I should make it 200 frames.
