I have a really cool idea for a community game, but alas, it would require a really dedicated scripter and an amount of time I'm not willing to take away from FFD development. Still planning it out, though just in case.
All I can say is that it would be akin to a few mobile games out there right now, only without that annoying "please buy stuff with real money" mechanic attached to it.
But it would require a bunch of scripting working in tandem with each other, so I doubt existing stuff out there would be able to pull it off. It would need a dedicated script author to do all the scripts specifically for this one project.
Perhaps when I plan it out further and there is enough to pitch, I will dump the idea on the RMN forums and if anyone wants to get it going, I would be more than happy to.

Just finished creating and testing Shinryu in FFD. Tough fight. =)
author=GreatRedSpiritauthor=kentonaThat's because none of them inflict berserk. Throw berserk on him, get a Knight with Guard/Cover and Shinryu can't do shit besides physical attacks that the Knight is immune to and he's covering all his buddies.
Coincidentally enough, I just read a book in FF5 telling me that even with the 12 weapons of legend, heroes would stand no chance versus Shinryu and Omega.

I was at level 70 with the best equipment (and inside knowledge of what is effective against it, obviously) and still had a tough time beating him.
Villainy upgrade: apparently I'm such a terrible person that TDS won't provide a Materia script to the masses.
On one hand, kind of a bad reason not to release on his part. On the other, I guess nobody is forced to release scripts for public use.
I think I am going to change "Notices" to "Posts on Final Fantasy Fangames"
I like fan-games, when they actually rely on the established content. Just slapping the title on it and making it something completely different is kind of stupid.
That said, I guess the fan games have been garnering a lot of attention these past few months. Mine is really a way for me to learn how to use VX Ace by replicating things that were familiar to me.
