There was a newer variant of Golbez released in FFBE, with a more detailed sprite based more on his original art.

Hi there, I'm the creator of the plugin. It's base on Suikoden 2 weapon upgrading system. I just did what Arcmagik want. Don't even know that Galv wrote the same one before. xD
It's awesome that a system as cool as the stuff in Suiko (best RPGs ever, we all know it) is available for both VXA and MV :)

Isn't it possible, or even very likely, that two separate gamedevs separately reinvented the same wheel, fashioned after a well known, pre-established wheel?

I'll just post what I said I would when I got home. I'm glad we got it all sorted.
Anywho, here's the VXA script I commissioned from Galv way back when, if anyone is interested in something like what Arcmagik is working with for RPG Maker VX Ace (it's a lovely alternative to just buying new weapons, have fun with it).

Annnnnd screen for reference (did not define weapon names so it's showing character names on the right, but it does have the same support for naming weapons per level (via notetags); don't mind the BG, that's just something from my testing project file that's always kinda there, but you can see the similarities no? :P)

Also, lots of pixel-y fonts here, IK think you said in another thread you were looking into other options for in-game fonts.

You know I was just driving at work and I thought “it is 2018 Maybe that’s an Mv plug-in version of the same older script, lemme go check” and poof, lo and behold! Lemme do this, though: when I escape from the eight hours of misery that is work, I’ll edit here with the VXA version (huzzah surprise release!). It’s literally identical to this. Been five years, might as well have it out there at this point.
Then I’ll throw you a quick PM with the original convo between Galv and I. Might help you see where I was coming from not wanting a guys commissioned work out there without consent and maybe it’ll help you to not react with that disrespectful tone next time you’re asked a question.

Um, this script was a paid commission by myself in 2013, and was made by Galv, not whomever dsiver144 is. If needed, proof of the entire exchange can be provided.
As such, it was not to be released publicly, and to this day, is still not released on Galv's website (https://galvs-scripts.com/category/rmvxa-scripts/). I donated $100 to Galv to help a friend of his in need, and in return, this script was created for me as a thank you.
As far as I can tell, Galv didn't publicly release this commissioned script, but somehow, here we are. Someone got a hold of it, slapped their name on it, didn't bother to even change the window placement or any of the default Vocab associated with the script, etc.
