I made this site and it's awesome. But I don't run it anymore. Now I'm just a plebe like you.

Erave, I freaking love the way your game is looking.

Dookie, all your stuff looks awesome, man. I genuinely want to play both of those games.

Doppleganger (Whack a Food), Fighter, LunC (The Way) and myself are working on a commercial project, slated to be released for desktop and mobile devices. It's done in javascript, so no rpg maker.

I recognize all those names; sounds promising. Also interested in what way you guys are using JS. Something like Node-webkit/nw.js?

Basically a retro styled mid 90s SNES JRPG. I've done all the music, LunC has written a script, Fighter does most of the heavy coding and Doppleganger is our artistic supervisor, doing a lot of the graphics himself and outsourcing some tasks to freelance pixel artists. We are hoping to have a free demo soon to give people a taste and hopefully lead into a fundraising push.

Sounds rad. Make sure I get a link when that goes up!

A Blurred Line (Remake)

it's rmn.

dookie has at least made original stuff before this. not sure where the lazy comments are coming from considering this entire website is built off using lifted resources, fangames, or rtp.

Yeah I don't see this as an act of laziness. There's definitely room for using/honing your skills with homages to existing works. I think the work he's done for this looks great; just that with the energy and time it takes to create a game, I'd prefer to see that invested in a wholly new creation.

A Blurred Line (Remake)

We've all had that thing we've wanted to remake. It's super fun to re-imagine and improve things.

But that energy could go to making new things. Feel free to look at my own profile for numerous missteps.

It takes a lot of energy to make a game. You need all you can get to finish your own original ideas.

Oh shit, it's Erave! What are the deets on your project because it has tons of style to it.

I still remember testing an in-development Easy Mac 2. Those were the days.

A Blurred Line (Remake)

Should really make something that is your own. The cool indoor tile perspective you have going on has lots of personality and promise. Leave ABL as it is.

Ok, so What the Heck is #shump?

Seeing Bill & Ted all over this page makes me want to go home and watch their movies.

But man, I really hope that they don't go ahead with a new movie. They're way too old to play those roles now.

The crux of the sequel's story is that they are both old and haven't done jack shit to usher in a new age.

There's always going to be some kind of fun legacy with the site's past, whether that involves #shmup's antics, my own, or someone elses. I think it would be hard pressed to point at #shmup members and say they were lacking in passion, though. People may have disagreed with their... flavor of speech.

Zero Suit Samus

Don't worry, Light Suit is an alt color for Samus. However I wish they could have redone her mesh to more accurately match the source, but I understand why they didn't.

On the subject of Samus's sexualization, I think Smash Bros's heels addition is fine. It gives a bit more breadth to Samus's non-Power Suit arsenal.

I am not a huge fan of the ZS's existence in general. It was acceptable in Zero Mission, but Other M really emphasized all the wrong aspects of Samus. Unlike someone such as Bayonetta, who exudes confidence to wear nothing and shoot bullets in demon mouths. Samus was far from that character and didn't need the body redesign to match someone she wasn't.

R.I.P. RPG Revolution

Nah, I didn't hate RRR. GW, yes. RRR, no. I saw it as competition.
