I suppose this would help with the whole Sunset Discussion. Where should the colors be changed?

Draw background color adds color to the transparent sunset backgrounds( Upper Left).
Foreground image makes it an overlay. I can easily change the background color to change the whole sunset effect.

This is basically how I create levels, add objects, place tiles, camera views, and multi-layered backgrounds. All I have to do is place them after I code them.

Feedback on the sunset would be greatly appreciated!! Tell me exactly what should be done. I somewhat already know how to do it, but I want to know if it's right before I proceed to the other levels of this world. Thank you!!

The first one catches the eye. But this one is also interesting.
Anyway, it's your pick ;)

I like this one! It's very Attractive! I will fix this tomorrow, it's late. Thank you so much for helping out!! When I finish this game, I'll be sure to give credit to all people who helped me fix so many flaws.

The tint is a bit too much..but other than that, this looks pretty nice, especially that scorpion! How dare it shoot fireballs at a lady~ xD

No kidding!! The scorpions in this world are mean and dangerous. They could care less if you're a girl or not.XD After I fix this sunset thing, this area should be ready to go.

I see. Perhaps I will use these in the later stages of the world. But, which one would you prefer from this page?

Google sunsets...

Yeah, the tint and transparency are still wrong. Sorry 'bout that.
The transparency should be increased much more because as it is now all other colors are saturated with the orange tint.
And as for the color, I'd say something between the earlier red and this orange tint.

Alright! Maybe looking up Sunset on Google should help out or looking at a real one. Usually, there is this purplish, red and orange color, I'll work on it until I get this right. It shouldn't be that hard of a fix. But in the meantime, I would appreciate it if people send me pictures of what they mean. That would help a lot!! Thanks for your feedback!!

The Screenshot Topic Returns

I need help on how to make this area more sunset-like. I've had 2 people tell me to fix it, but how is a sunset supposed to look? I have a general image of orange, red, pink and purple. Also, the light on everything is supposed to change because the sunset is a foreground image.I need someone with visual experience to help me out. Thank you!!

The screen tinting for a sunset effect isn't very sunsetty. You should probably consult someone more experienced in visual effects on the forum for advice on how to get the desired effect.
For a starting point, post a screenie in the Screenshot Thread and ask if there's a way you could do it better.

Alright! The Lighting of the stage depends on how high or low you are in the stage.but, I could use some help because Avee said the exact same thing about the sunset. Thanks for the advice!!

This is another screen shot of world 2. Sunset Canyon's progress is going fairly quickly. Now, I have to add the 5 new levels and a pyramid level, and I will then upload an updated demo. This demo will have both worlds 1(Seaside Coast) and 2(Sunset Canyon).

Anyway, beware of the Giant Scorpions!!. Lydia takes too much damage from them. They also can shoot fireballs from their stingers. It's best to stay away from them and use slash waves. If you run out of them, let the scorpion turn right, then sneak up on them and let them have it! Also, you can block their fireballs. You can also send the scorpions in the opposite direction by using the shield.

The mission in this stage is to
Destroy all enemies within 400 seconds!! This is a tricky and difficult mission. It takes me around 150-250 seconds to beat it every time (and I'm the creator!). Maybe I should make it less difficult for less experienced players.

Thanks spirit_young!! I appreciate all the feedback. I love the NES! Just the other day I was playing it for countless hours on my Wii's homebrew channel. Lately I've been playing Megaman II-VI, Chaos World, Super Mario Bros.3, The legend of Zelda, Crystalis, and various other games. The best part of it is the save states. They are very useful (especially in Mega Man games). Having a homebrew channel is very fun because you get to play any game you want (whether is be translated or something like that). It allows you to get Gameboy, Gameboy advance, NES, SNES, Sega Genesis, Master System, Turbo Grafx, N64, and even PlayStation games. All of them have GameCube controller/wii remote support as well.

Man, I can't wait to get further into it. The thing is, I have it on my wii, so I can play it with my GameCube controller. Crystalis is one of the most classic games I've ever played (still playing). And it is very lengthy for an NES game. I just beat the general at Mt. Sabre the other day. WITHOUT SAVE STATE IT WOULD HAVE BEEN SO HARD!I had to constantly load my state on the wii in order to beat him. However, I am a very dedicated level grinder, I buy the best armor, and I collect a lot of gold, so it wasn't extremely frustrating. I think I was at level 9 when I faced him.
