Zombie Invasion

If there was a zombie invasion, do you think the military would make short work of it? Would the goverment cover it up? What would you do? Where would you go? Would the goverment nuke the world? What do you think?

This is basically the subject of my (and a million other) comic book(s). I've been thinking about it a lot.
It really depends on the source. In my comic book, most of the undead are being controlled by an omniscient and powerful "other" and more of the high-ranking zombies are intelligent, and possess the skills they had in life (for example - Zombie Stalin).
Fast/viral zombies are also worrysome because they're super fast, super strong, and infect people.
But if there was some kind of slow/stupid zombie invasion, I think we'd all basically be okay. If the Government didn't take care of them, basically everyone in my home state has/knows how to operate a rifle, so I know at least the ol' West would be safe.
What kind of weapon would you use?

A Horse because
1) Heavy Horse + rider = somewhere around 2000 pounds. Imagine that in full gallop.
2) Not near horses legs when another 2000 pound horse+rider are in full gallop
3) When shit hits fan you can outrun any of your poor infantry buddies
I'd prefer to be a light rider so when I get pulled down/ripped off the horse I can actually get back up again (assuming nobody stabs my face in the meantime)
This is a great idea except for the existence of the Nodachi. In the battle of cavalry vs. Nodachi, Nodachi wins.
Although with this logic, the Horse is a weapon I actually know how to use, and have trained with. Which makes me feel better, feeling like I know how to use a weapon.

Of course the underlying message would be something like "It took the apocalypse to get these guys out of their chairs. Are you like them?"
As we know from the workout thread, this is an awful nasty stereotype. Geeks do get out and do things, many of them are very active. In fact, I'm fairly sure that you are a) geeky and b) get out and do things, so I don't have to explain it to you! :)
Anyway, this is a hilarious idea and I'd totally watch it. Can those kids from Superbad be in it? Toss Jon Heder in it and you have a freaking go.

Unless of course you are one of those people who for some reason think that a claymore is a one handed sword.
You know I don't think this.
I just assumed that the Flamberg was lighter cause it wasn't as broad. Claymores look like they have a whole lot to them, way more than the Flamberg.

This year it seems I'm getting a very special Valentine's present, albeit a day late. As some of you know I'm currently involved in a long distance relationship. She wants to move into my area, so she's moving in with me on February 15th so she can get a new job up here, and start looking for her own place - though she's been hinting she might not need her own place if things go well! =D
Good luck with it all. Now prepare to have to endure shows she likes but you don't as well as spend every second with her.

Since she's stayed over at your place for weeks at a time, though, I'm pretty certain that you already know this.

However, I can't promise she won't hog the TV with Eastenders or Coupling or whatever the crap you have there.

I would use the Flamberg Sword because, well, why the hell not?
It is my favorite(looking) weapon. Also it is long, and I am short. From my few days doing Kendo, I know that long swords are better for short people. My Shinai is very long. But it is not good for killing because, well, it's made of bamboo.
I would not use a Katana because freaking everyone uses a Katana.
There was once a day in which I would have said THE CLAYMORE or another Scottish Broadsword because I have a great deal of pride in my heritage (even if we did go belly-up to the damned Limeys... No offense you English folks!). However, I know my limitations. If I bulked up maybe the Claymore would still be an option. But seeing as how I am a pretty tiny girl, it's not really feasible.

Or, perhaps those that downloaded the first didn't enjoy it enough to check out the second.
I never played the first one, but I didn't think the second's demo was all that bad. Considering what you have to make a horror game in RPG Maker, I'd say you did a fine job.
Considering that BS1 is one of the more respected/well known American RM games out there... that isn't really likely.
Just look at the reviews, for instance, for BS1. Also you should play it. It's really all that people say it is (which is awesome).

Be extremely careful. Moving in with your girlfriend is an entirely different ballgame.
Indeed. It can sometimes result in sexdeath, but not always. Just watch out for that phenomenon.
ALSO, CONGRATS! Moving in together is very exciting :D My advice to you is to make sure you know whose responsibilities are whose... like my boyfriend cooked and I did the dishes, but it ended up that no one person was doing all the work. If people know what they're expected to do, it results in less fighting, I think. All the best to you guys.
