Personal notes:
- DO NOT use nested loops in RPGMaker
- DO NOT use centered origin show picture, it cannot be removed unless it goes back to topleft corner origin
- F9 for debug menu
- My biggest trip up is mapping. I really have no idea whatsoever when it comes to making maps. Which means I need to get a good map idea before I can make something even remotely playable.

Super Mario Star Expedition

This games too hard for me. Went into the castle 8 with 30 lives and died to bowser. This game seems to take some inspiration from dkc, since the stars are almost always in side rooms or dead ends. Im also guessing that each level also has a side area with a 1 up. Which means that the design of each level gets pretty formulaic. And most of the levels have very similar design anyway if you don't count the level's gimmick. Game wasnt hard at first, but gets increasingly tough unless your using peach. Regrettably, I shoulda used peach for the final boss instead of mario, but whatever.

Castle 8 was extremely annoying. One of the biggest problems i had was the spikes. They are extremely hard to notice because they have a dark color like the walls and other decoration so u dont see them when you're busy dodging other stuff. Theres a reason spikes are usually white and now i know why.

Versus Xerza 01: Ultimate Showdown

3 towns, 4 dungeons. Gave this a whirl and got my butt whooped by the final boss. He spams this silence aoe that makes my mage and healer become dead weights. It didnt help that my party was around level 8. Reason being I managed to skip the second dungeon by parking my rowboat on the bridge that was next to the ship. Also I got trolled when i found a fang blade after having already purchased one.

P.S. it's probably because of default rpg maker, but I find myself missing ALOT in this game. People regularly miss 3 times in a row. I thought the default miss rate was like 5% but this is just sad.

One-Screen RPG

u cant kill the dragon if u try to attack it straight up. there's an elaborate setup that u have to do to get the dragon into a position where u can defeat it. I think this is about as much i can say without spoiling the answer.

i dont really remember what it was, however im betting its probably because i played too long in one session.

I cant say the same for this gamepage though, as fancy as it is my computer starts whining when im on this page :(

oh i didnt expect a fast reply (since im usually lurking the bottom end of RMN's database there usually isnt any replies) so i dont have the game anymore. It's a simple RPG but balance was pretty good for how far i got.

I was using mostly the first 4 guys i got (hero, guard, healer and witch) But i switched out the guard for Elrod the monk since the guard didnt have much offense options. After a while i also switched out the hero for the loose cannon and not soon after the game crashed (i think it was during a battle)

Played in one go to see how far i can get. A while after i got all the characters the game crashed with an error about the zealous engine. Yanfly plz

Neo Retro Super Mario Bros.

I like a challenge, but this was a bit much. Annoying levels that came to mind were 5-3 and 6-4. I have an issue with 6-4. There is a jump there that REQUIRES the feather because the gap is too big for regular mario to get across. Which means I have to go back to 1-3 to farm feathers which is a long way away. But I'm ok with going back for powerups, just not with that kind of level design. (I also noticed that a couple of other levels had disgusting jumps that seemed to require feathers, but i got past them since i had a feather at the time.) I gave up on 8-4 which i assume is the final level because of a donut jump. I could probably do it if I played longer but I didnt feel like it because of how long it takes to get there each time. Also smbx crashed once on 8-1 when i died for some reason.

anyone have an RMVX game called Dr. Koizumi ? It was available on only one site and now its a dead link. Chances are nobody will have it but might as well try asking just one time.

One-Screen RPG

you have to defeat the dragon. its slightly harder than the other levels but not by much. Anyway this is a nice little simple puzzle game. Could probably get alot more complicated if it was bigger.

Dragon Unleashed

I couldnt even beat Butters. I know this is a widely used minigame script but this dragon has such a fat hitbox that it get hard pretty fast.
