I'm making a game too, but since I am not an artist, musician, programmer, or writer, it's going extremely slowly. You can find it over there->
I also joined in a handful of RMN's events, here's some of the games I got:

Personal notes:
- DO NOT use nested loops in RPGMaker
- DO NOT use centered origin show picture, it cannot be removed unless it goes back to topleft corner origin
- F9 for debug menu
- My biggest trip up is mapping. I really have no idea whatsoever when it comes to making maps. Which means I need to get a good map idea before I can make something even remotely playable.

Bloodstained Hands
"There's no way to determine how close he is to death, just like every other boss battle."
He stops moving (no stepping animation) when hes at low health. Its the same for his soldiers.
Im fighting him in the volcano on full wait mode. When he has half health he summons 3 minions. At low health his stepping animation stops and he stands still. After a few hits when hes still, he sparkles slightly then starts moving again meaning that hes no longer at low health.
I tested again, and managed to beat him when i ignored the minions, he stops moving and doesnt fight anymore after his health bar empties, and i end the fight by taking out the minions. I think the problem was that when i take out the minions first, it doesnt end the fight when he's the last one to be defeated.
Also, i never said it was too hard, and you assuming that is very condescending. I'm dissatisfied with there being a potential game breaking glitch and was hoping that it would be fixed. No need to tell me to 'get gud'

hey, thanks for the detailed explanation!I actually had a backup save right before entering chapter 3 so I did manage to complete the game after all. Aside from that one bug with low hp smashing I didn't get any other major errors. Honestly this has more of a survival feel to it instead of simply mining everything on the map, good game!

it'd be alot better if the final boss was fixed so they dont kill u with shots that dont even touch u, but its been a long time

Tried this game and got as far as chapter 3 where i was permanently stuck with no rocks to smash. This is probably because i didnt smash all the rocks in chapter 2, but the reason I didnt is because there are several hidden game mechanics that work against you and you are never informed about them. When I noticed these mechanics it made me fairly annoyed and also disinclined to smash rocks in general. I figured something was up when the game was constantly prompting saves but I didn't expect there to be hidden mechanics like this:
- when you hands level up, you are fully healed. However, you are not informed WHEN your hands level up (e.g. at 200 there is a level up) so you might end up wasting balms when you are close to a level up. This punishes people who use alot of balms at once to heal up.
- when you smash a rock at low hp (you have 1HP more than the amount required to smash a rock), the game ignores the smash but takes your HP down to 1. This punishes people who use balms at 1HP to avoid the first problem, resulting in wasted HP.
Basically, the player will be punished whether they like using all balms at once AND using balms one at a time at low hp. Neither of these mechanics are ever told to the player. The result is that alot of HP and balm gets wasted in the long run, and it will be easy to get stuck without balm. So when I tried to avoid this eventuality it resulted in me running out of rocks instead. If these mechanics weren't in the game then Im sure i wouldn't be avoiding rocks in chapter 2, avoiding the softlock situation that I am finding myself in. I hope these arent intentional features, because they are really annoying for someone who notices them.
Another thing, is that each type of rock do not appear to give equivalent rates of HP for points. Some of the rocks are 1 for 1 but others are not. Thought that was strange because that means you should smash some rocks over others, but in the end i ran out of rocks anyway.

Sorry, the last time i played this, general dawn in the cave had an unlimited amount of health (probably from a battle script problem). I probably wont pick this up again ever until someone played one playthru of the entire game to ensure that there arent any more major bugs like that. The balance is still kinda out of whack but I can forgive that if all the major bugs are fixed.

A Thief's Voyage
extremely casual rpg. It's a pretty fun and decent length game, but I did run into random crashes throughout. No idea what causes them since they occur randomly at different points in the game. I like the concept of brenda's growth system that sets her apart from the others but in my play she fell far behind the other party members in power level and was basically dead weight in most fights, till i found she had an overpowered skill that i completely overlooked. But aside from the random crashes this was a pretty fun and simple game without much difficulty.
The Purple Orbs
a nice casual action puzzle game. A few minor things were the crappy rpg maker hit boxes (if u shoot at an enemy at melee range as it enters your tile, your shot will miss) and i can get damaged by fireballs if i walk into them during their dying animation. Other than that the game got stuck in a black screen when i did game+ AFTER finishing alternate reality. Doing game+ before AR seemed to work so there may have been some programming issue. Then I will be skipping game+ but its a nice game overall.
