Alternatively, if rl was a FF game, you could try using an elixer on essence. Anyways, just letting you guys know I just edited my post under the fix the demo portion of this game. It's sort of a big bug I found.

Heh yeah, it turned out there was something to be searched in that factory. My vigilance paid off. As for the pipes, some shading could work. It looks odd that you can walk on them currently. On a side note, I'm passed the factory and I didn't have any trouble with storms scene. I did however find a passability issue.

Storm: Save me, I'm too old to be standing on tables!
Demon: Fine fine...I'll take a screenshot.
What can I say, I'm a dangerous tester (when I get serious and overlook small bugs).
Edit: For once I'm not editing to place a bug lol. Just want to say nice touch with the piano, it reminds me of ff5. Sadly havn't stumbled into any secret hidden passages though.
Edit 2: The permanent dead bug...it seems I have encountered this (due to a blasted head hunter actually connecting with sickle), except in my case, it was xander. He died in battle, I revived him (which worked fine), but after the battle it acted like he was still dead, and now when I open the menu, is portrait is ethereal (the dead picture pretty much).
Also, small edit, but could this permanent death bug be an issue with the instant death status ailment? Anyways, just theorizing on what could cause it. I tried using a tent...but that didn't fix my problem.

I decided to move on, and just let xander not be poisoned after the battle...so I bring to you....
http://i180.photobucket.com/albums/x131/demonlord5000/flatbox.png
Behold...the mighty flat box!
Edit: ...I know I promised I wouldn't bring up any more typos..but...this one just can't be overlooked...i can' t bring myself to do it! I just reached the colonel...and gentalment...seriously? It should be gentlemen.
Edit 2: http://i180.photobucket.com/albums/x131/demonlord5000/Unlimitedpotions.png
While at first glance there may seem to be wrong with this screenshot...there is indeed a glitch here. I searched the guards body, and I can obtain unlimited potions from it!
Edit 3: Now i'm disappointed! In the last evented battle with these guards where they came up from behind...the battle itself was not a back attack! Not sure if you can do those with your custom battle system, but I thought i'd bring it up since back attacks are an rpg tradition of sorts. If you can't do it with that battle system, don't worry about it though. I'm willing to sacrifice back attacks for a nice battle system such as this.
Edit 4: This is similiar to the bug in edit 2. In the next room after that screenshot, I killed the guards who attacked me, searched the body, and now I can get unlimited 500 gils.
edit 5: http://i180.photobucket.com/albums/x131/demonlord5000/pipes.png
I don't know if this is a bug for sure, but being a factory, I envision those pipes being in the air, and it looks weird that my guy can stand on them.
Edit 6: http://i180.photobucket.com/albums/x131/demonlord5000/MagicalDoor.png
The door behind my character warps ya to a wrong spot (it does warp me to the previous room, but it puts me in front of the wrong door).

Final Fantasy Essence
I'll give this a shot with the unencrypted version then. Don't worry too much about people stealing, as if they try it, more than likely they will just get caught in the act, and if not that, they will make something of poor quality (as someone stated a couple pages ago, if I recall).
Also, nice catch on my typo earlier oblic, I should have proofread my post. At any rate, since your worrying about typos only after the full games completed, I'll hold off on posting those until i get my hands on the full version. For now I'll just hunt for those obscure bugs ya talked about.
Edit: I purposely let xander get poisoned in the unencrypted version, and the poison graphic glitch is still there
This is just a theory, but did you by chance give the normal xander the graphic, but not his disguised form?.

Since my game just crashed from the xander poison graphic bug, I'll go ahead and post my findings.
2. In the first battle, xander says: I think I got an idea..., I think it would read better if it was: I think I've got an idea...but that's just me. There also seems to be some unneccessary commas in the game dialog, but again, could just be me.
3. After the train battle, biggs says: Hey...This one looks like way too small for me!, insert an it's between like and way.
4. Close to 3, cept with xander. Discoverd should be discovered.
Heh, now a bug, but just pointing out I predicted the chocobo name, on the account I love that ff.
5. Back on the train, enterance should be entrance.
6. Just got to my first save bubble, went to save, and noticed I had files I could of loaded, which means you probably forgot to delete those.
7. Talking to two guards that appear to be talking to each other inside the factory: One says: I've been monitoring the amount of children brought to the factory, but lately they seem to be disappearing. Then the other one: I would think it would be rebels infiltrating the factory. We should tighten security. Thats sort of a huge jump in coversation (if it helps, these two guards are near a potion chest).
8. A guard above those other two (the one furthest away), has some cut off text.
9. Xander not having a poison graphic just happened to me too. It crashes the game after a battle.

Do not fear, my demonic testing skills are on the case. With your newest sendspace link, it's working so far. Oh and...
1. In your disclaimer, it's should be its.
See, I already found a bug. Comments about the game itself will be placed after I'm done.

Endgame Ideas
Ah shinryu...the follower of omega...does that mean omega might make an appearance? I crushed those bosses in the original, and I can do so here. At any rate, I'll be glad to test for ya. I think my record of recorded bugs (in a single test run), is over 40 as far as rm games go, and i'm of course talking about those with actual quality.
Anyways I shouldn't stray off topic with my rambling (i consider myself a vet tester, and get carried away), so lets see what I can think of for post game ideas
For new game+, I do see what you guys mean. The different modes do cover different areas, for each persons different tastes. Because of the nature of this mode, there is no need to add new content (there's other modes for that).
For post game, since you will be adding new challenges and such, maybe you should add in a couple of secret characters only accessible via it (I've always wanted a playable version of Gilgamesh myself, but it's your call). Of course I also liked what one of the dragon quests did for there post game. If you followed the post game story, you ended up recruiting the final boss as an ally (you redeemed his hope in humanity, and he joined you), and then a new final boss took his place, and you got a better ending for it. Hope this gives ya ideas.
For parallel game, I've been giving this one the most thought since you are tinkering with it. Perhaps the events could be seen through the eyes of one of the central villains loyal servants, (that you get to play). and occasionally you could give flashbacks and such, showing there relation, and just exactly why said servant is so loyal to the villain, and through flashbacks/regular scenes, you get give a background on the whole deal. Well anyways, that's all I have on this for now, but I'll let ya know if I get any more thoughts.
Anyways, I got a little carried away and didn't intend to type that many paragraphs, but in the long run I hope they are some use.

Endgame Ideas
A reward...you shouldn't tempt this demon. If a game grabs me enough, I end up massacring it. Anyways, back to the topic. I like the ideas (especially that parallel game), but the new game+ I think needs an added bonus to tempt people into playing it again. As a person who like a challenge, I'd be more prone to just starting a new game if new game+ didn't add anything. Some ideas for doing that could be making the monsters harder for each new game+ you do (though not sure how doable this is without making duplicate monsters, which could be time consuming),
One other idea for a new game+, which I think would be rather unique (I can't think of a time it's been done), is if you have an unbeatable boss in your game in a certain area (only beatable on new game+), and you do beat it, then from that area on the whole story could be changed up, and things would get a lot harder.
Anyways, I'm just thinking while typing, hoping to give ya some ideas, especially now that ya called me out (even though I've been watching this game and already had plans to beat it). I'll also bug test this when it's ready. As a tester of many games, I can guarantee at least 10 bugs no matter how thorough your official tester is, when I unofficially test it.

Final Fantasy Essence
Guess there's no choice then, I'll just have to test this game myself whenever I get my hands on a copy. Of course since I usually find 20 bugs or more, I can guarantee I can prove this game to be non-perfect no matter how long ya put it off. It's your call when to release...but expect to be put to work when ya do!
Eternal Destiny
I can help elaborate for ichimaru on that. It's partly because the world you made doesn't have alot of npc, and doesn't really feel alive. In fact the towns feel rather deserted. The other thing is that the cutscenes are too short, and there isn't enough dialog to really make them interesting. It's an alright start if you havn't made any games, and a good chance to get valuable feedback for future projects.
