Eternal Destiny

The name of the town is harwell, and the place it traps me is dragon castle. Thankfully the name places are in the menu, and i saved before getting trapped.

Edit: Just did another trip around town, and theres a bench i can walk on.

Went to harwell castle (why did the guards not speak..and let me waltz in...got the cutscene and teleported back to my castle...went back to harwell...and examined the throne doors. Game crashed saying couldnt find faceset drago. Also, if you try to go up the stairs, mary will still say she doesnt keep the map up there...even though mary is no longer with you.

Eternal Destiny

I figured I would try this just to see what it was like. My first impressions after like 15 seconds of playing (talked to everyone in the castle, examined the doors and such), is that your mapping needs work (all the rooms feel a little too empty for a castle), and that your grammar also needs work. I see various errors whenever I examine a door or talk to a random guard...you really need to have someone playtest your work. I also noticed that you start with all 4 party members, rather than just the two your supposed to have.

Guard at castle gate: you think you're bored after all them time. It should be this time, and how did the castle guard that is nowhere near the prince's room even know he was bored?

Other guard at castle gate: you better becareful if you're going out of the castle. First off, be careful should be spaced, and secondly, i read in your thread that he isn't supposed to leave the castle, so why is a guard letting him just waltz out.

When you examine the throne doors: I better ot bother mom right now. should be not.

This strikes me as odd as well, but I don't see how balagan got in the castle. Seems to me if hes always getting himself into trouble (even with just women), then sengals mother wouldn't exactly approve of them hanging out (except mayby on castle grounds, where she can keep an eye on them).

Anyways, despite all these errors, the mapping, and the...rather short opening cutscene, I did download it, and i'll see this run through to the end. Hopefully i'll run into a more gripping cutscene soon.

Edit: Apparently I can put the party members I'm not supposed to have in standby. I'll just do that as to not imbalance the game.

Edit 2: The dragon kingdom guards behind the castle say: I cannot let you pass because your mother will get worried. If she will get worried (past tense), it should be I cannot let you pass because your mother would get worried.

Edit 3. I cannot talk to the people in the stalls. Even if there not a shop, they can still say what they are selling, to imply there is an economy in play. Also, I cannot open the doors in town. Even something as simple as *locked* popping up is better than nothing.

Oh come on...a bug as soon as I hit confirm...fine *Edit 4*...I can walk under the red flower by the bottom left house. By under, I mean it looks like the flowers are floating above his head when I walk in certain spots. I should also mention the stairs there are unneeded. I do not see a cliff there at all.

Edit...5. I just fully explored the town and found a whopping 2 npcs to talk too (saving the pub for last). Despite you give the impression its a big town, all the houses cant be entered, the side paths that supposedly lead deeper into town cant be visited..and I feel like this game is revolving around the main char, and that an actual world is nonexistant.

Seriously...your cliffs are terrible. A wooden platform with stairs leading to it should not be able to be stepped on from the side...or look flat. Use a mapping tutorial or ask for help if you need it, same goes for your story. Ask for help on how to emulate an actual world in a game if you need to

An edit is needed for the pub...yep...edit 6 it is. .Man: Hey, there lad (comma unneeded), Have you heard of the mermaids and merman who live in Elia Bay? I hear that mermaids trick male sailors and when they feel the man feels comfortable with them they pull them down into the ocean and eat them like a shark. Mermen do the same only they trick the ladies! (first off...i feel like im reading a tounge twister here, secondly, why an exclamation for the ladies, but not the men? Its shocking they eat them in both cases is it not? Also, a lady in the pub doesnt speak.

The barkeep and guys in bandannas dont speak either. Hah, I didnt hit cancel yet, take that edit.

Alright...forget it., I am not posting anymore grammar mistakes! Have someone completely redo it for you.

Nww that I've experienced the area outside town, heres my comments. Battles are too easy, and you have various roads leading to virtually nowhere. I'm all for more areas to explore, sidepaths and all that, but dont put a road and then tell me either: A: Nothing appears when I go on it, and it doesnt take me to a new map or: B: You cannot go there yet. If I can't go there, at least put a signpost or somethin that tells me where each road leads.

Now as my journey comes to an end...I went outside town fo an area full of monsters than I one hit with normal attacks, and has various roads I can get past (except for one), which leads to yet another town (already?), and when I followed one of the various roads in town...I got warped into an area that traps me. I'm like trapped on top of a wall in a castle...when I didn't even see a castle in that town.

Phantasia 5

Yeah there was alot of issues with the old one. Most I got around, but then one broke my battle system. Now that I'm back home I could probably test the game, or I can wait till it gets released to find the inevitable mass of bugs that come with all of them.

At any rate, looking forward to the (hopefully) fixed version. I'd like to play at least one of these and not run into a bug that ruins the whole thing for me lol.

BETA v0.2 IS OUT!

I just posted a bug on loot cave in my first post. Any information you have would be helpful about that cave, as I hate leaving quests undone.

LAW is looking for a few testers!

I'm not sure if I should post yet, but I'll sign up for wave 3. I'm sure you have at least heard about my testing skills. I'll pretty much clean out all the bugs that your first testers don't find, as well as any new ones that pop up. From what I gather, your going to be giving each wave of testers roughly 10 days to complete there testing, and I think that should be fine. Well anyways, I'll save my comments on the game itself until after my testing is over.

Note: If you want, I'll do wave 2 instead, but I think 3 would better.

Edit: I would take wave 1, but I'm currently testing another game. Depending on how quickly I finish it, I might help you with the first one.

BETA v0.2 IS OUT!

I'm looking forward to this as well. I wonder if the demo can handle my testing skills. Already found a bug, I was going through the tutorials just in case there was something important I needed to know, and when I chose the main menu tutorial, it crashed saying norm menu can't be opened.

This might be important but, I was doing this before leaving the inn. I think I see what happened, the menu only seems to work if you skip the tutorial. I skipped it the second time around....nope I was wrong.

Heres what I gathered of the bugs so far. The main menu seems to open only if you skip the tutorial, and the tutorial glitches either way. Time to skip it a second time.

Another glitch, you can view the tutorials during cutscenes.

I talked to the innkeeper and she is trying to charge me, when he is already supposed to have his own room at the inn thanks to valeria, so it seems odd he would have to pay.

When I choose reward, she says I havn't completed any quests, and then right after she says she can't provide information.

When it lists his objective, it says ares instead of are.

It's just now saying the tutorials are unlocked...but I found out about it earlier when I was experimenting with controls.

Row seems to be useless. I think what row is supposed to do, is choose between the front and back row like most games, but when I try to use it on ephram nothing happens.

During the jumping tutorial, it mentions: this jiumping icon will appear, but I didn't see any icon appear during the tutorial.

The inn needs slight remodeling or something. The npcs walk rather slow on the middle floor, and can easily trap you when your looking through those two small rooms, and that small passage is rather narrow.

He can use gather outside of battle. He can also use cure and esuna outside of battlle Cure and esuna are understandable, but with gather being accessable outside of battle as well..you go into every battle at full hp and synergy.

If you go down the right staircase on the top floor of the church, you appear downstairs on the left staircase.

I tried using defend in a battle, and my damage wasn't reduced.

Multiblast caused synergy block on some ants, and I assume it's a bug considering it's not in the abilities description.

All of the synergy moves aside from multiblast seem to do about the same damage, despite the skill saying weak, medium, or powerful, and right now the physical moves don't seem to compare unless I use draw weapon first, and that takes a turn. Actually...now that I've tested it a bit more, I don't think draw weapon affects skill, and I havn't used normal attacks enough to know if it affects that.

I went through it too fast, but I think when talking to lathram, succeeding was spelt wronng.

Loot cave lags pretty bad for me.

In loot cave (i'm tolerating the lag), I've activated every single switch I can reach, and I can't get past the first bridge. I believe there is 4 switches up to that point, and none of them activate a bridge at the intersection.

The riverfront mansion lags pretty bad too.

The leaving augreen scene repeats itself if you take the south exit again.

Man in the big city: Would you like to buya some jewelry, Buya should be buy.

In one of the houses, there is a table with cards on it...you can walk on the cards.

I left a guys room in the inn, and my character just froze.

I'm stopping my testing for now, as the town is laggy even with npcs/sand diabled...might want to disable water animations too. Good game so far besides the lag.

Forever's End

Heh, I appreciate it tyranos. When I helped him out I focused more on typos than sentence structure, so that helps out alot. As for mapping bugs, I believe I gave him a few in those long list of bugs I gave him, so don't give up on those! The balance probably could use a bit of work, as I found myself using magic more than melee attacks, even with melee oriented characters. I also found very few tickets for epoche (I think I only found 4-5 max, minus the one given to me when it was introducted). Anyways, once the two of us are done with it, I doubt there will be many, if any at all, who will complain!

Forever's End

Nicob has a list of the spots where I lagged, and it's probably where everyone else is going to lag too. It does get better a little bit later in the game, but then lags again the highroad. I think the highroad lag is entertwined somehow with the patrolling monsters, cause once I killed them it stopped. Anyways, hes working on fixing it, as well as all of the bugs I've given him.

Well anyways, nicob has plenty of negative feedback to work with now, so try to encourage him with some positive. In the end, hes doing what he enjoys, and although not everyone has the same tastes in game, we can at least give him that much right?

For anyone who has been bug hunting in the current version, feel free to pm them, it's always a possibility I've missed one or two.

Edit: What am I...delusionall? I just went and posted the wrong name on every account. Sorry about that, I'm usually more focused than this.

Forever's End

For the winter temple boss, I beat that level 2 rare monster as well, but it never occured to me to check to see if I could escape, so that was a nice find. As for the random crashes, I had one happen to me too, but theres no real way to track down the cause. Mine was when I was going to use cyrus in battle for the first time, but luckily I was provided with a save 2 seconds before that lol.

Anyways, good game so far. Now I regret not killing the desert monster, since the chapter ended before I could go back to it :(.

Edit: It just now occured to me that I said I beat the same boss twice >.<. I was thinking of the hidden one on high road at the time, which is the other level 2 I beat.

Forever's End

The lag is an issue I think most people have had...including me. My trick around it (although it might annoy some people, it does work), is that when it looks like your character isn't moving but it is, due to the major lag, open up your menu and close it, and it will show you where he actually is. Not all the areas are laggy, as once you get past the sewer, and the first world map portion of the game, it gets better. The legend in the desert also lags a bit, but you only have to mess with it a little bit.

Anyways guys, if you find the skill revive...don't use it. I have found quite the bug with it. If you use it on a live character, it instantly kills them, and it doesn't revive dead people. I've already pmed him about it, so it might be fixed soon.
