I have also been running the Crappy Game Reviews for over 4 years now. My old channel was hacked by somebody I used to live with and the games were removed. I have a new channel now.

A tiny nitpick, but he refers to himself in 3rd person immediately followed by 1st person. It should either be "You can do this" or separate it with something like "Come on..."

Yeah, That's going to be fixed.

I'm exhausted.. I think I'm going to bed for a while. I feel so drained. I've put hours into this game.

No problem Drak, I did play the original Aftermath and still have it on my computer. And I remember the knife cursor. Good nostalgia.


Yep, indeed. That's awesome. I hope the VX version appeals to people who were fans of the older one.

Instead of the knife picture maybe you could do like the radioactive symbol like on the floor of your battles? Anyway it looks great either way digging your style man


The faces were a toss up at first between anime or more of a realistic approach. I decided to go with a 3D style. Cut out those faces, do some work on them with Adobe, create a post-nuclear background and put the faces into it. Took a while and was tricky but I personally loved the outcome.

I love the idea about the bio hazard cursor. I chose a knife as the cursor because I wanted to add some stuff from the old Aftermath game to give people who liked that a nostalgia feel. I'm glad you all like it! Thanks for the support.

Do any of them change jobs from "Wastelander"?
If not, it's awfully redundant. Something denoting their role or abilities would be better (eg. Maria as a 'Healer').

They absolutely gain classes later. Not sure if I'm going to fit them in the demo because mutations give you a lot of shit to do, but they will be in the full version. I haven't gone over the class system yet.

Like I was explaining to another guy one time. Later in the game you will be able to have the following.


CLASS, MUTATION 1, MUTATION 2 So a Rogue who who casts fireballs and is also a vampire is possible.

Among many other possibilities.


Consider a wastelander a jack of all trades who honestly is just a survivor and nothing special.

It's a nice improvement. There's probably a way you could add like screwheads/bolts to the corners of your windowskins which would look pretty damn cool imo, given the setting and theme.

Tell me what you guys think. I wanted to give it more of a post nuclear feel with the grunge copper and knife.
Enemies HP is now fixed and aligned correctly with their names and their bars are red too.
