Thanks Punkitt, Thanks Frogge.
Loving how simple and perfect your graphics are Punkitt. Ive never seen such simplicity done so well.

Thanks Gretgor. I was originally going for a snes style(but in 3D) but I think it feels more like the original Playstation(which is not a bad thing)
Im using Blitz3D for the programming. Paint for the sprites and textures(But im sticking to a retro 15bit color palette) and Deled for the 3D design.

Been working on my Red Mage sprites today

@infectionfiles
Yep I must say it reminds me more of ps1 than snes but I guess I cant change that lol

My 5 days off of work end today so I wont be getting much done for a while.
I currently have an endless procedurally generated seamless world with cities.

Going for a snes but in 3D feel. Procedurally generated landscape. 15bit color palette(like the snes)

Flip3D test

Thanks pianotm. Anyone else try it. Im looking for at least a 9 out of 10 compatibility before I proceed any further with it.

Flip3D test

This is a flip3D program so it works the same way as dungeon master or eye of the beholder does except this has a slight difference. This one has multiple levels(I believe thats a world first for flip3D) this one also allows you to place or delete blocks(I believe thats another world first for flip3D)
Its a little slow on some computers because Im loading all images every frame rather than preloading them into memory at the program start(Theres just so many images lol) hence the file size(I found bitmaps load faster than pings)

you get a procedurally generated 32x32 world and it can be 32 high as well. It uses a system similer to voxels to handle the data. Its made in the RPGToolkit.

I just want to know if its running ok on other computers(Ive had failures to get things made in the RPGToolkit running on other computers in the past)

That looks amazing Joseph Seraph. Plus nice gif showing the way you made that. Ive saved that for refrence to try out that style at a later date.

Love the style riderx40

Things are going slow for me and I start a new job this week so Im still not sure if I will finish in time.
Got a fair amount of the standard programming done(jump is a bit floaty though)

My IGMC Entry so far. Gameplay will be kinda like Captain Toad.
Still got TONS of work to do and Im not sure if it will be finished in time to be honest.

Bubble Ghost Returns Review

Hi thanks for the review. I will answer a few of your questions and although it may sound like Im defending myself Im not, Im just pointing out the reason for their existence.
1: The reason for the 5 life limit return to the beginning was the original followed the same pattern. Maybe I should have put checkpoint saves or passwords in. I did toy with the idea and decided against it as I wanted to stay true to the original(Maybe a bad idea. I think its up to each person to decide)

2: As for the color scheme I did try to keep it somewhat like the original(Hence the bland colors) but I wanted the bubble to stand out. Hence the bright blue. But I agree it was a bit of a bright unnatural color and Might not have been the best choice.

3: Yep elephants, teddy bears, and lightning comming out of walls. As wierd as anything but all in the original(Although the elephant was animated in the original)

4:The story is the same as the first game and was only presented in the manual in the original. On hindsight I should have included a bit at the beginning of the game explaining what was going on. My bad on that point for sure.

5:The ending is exactly the same as the original game. And just as annoying and unrewarding ;) Not sure if thats a good thing or not lol

6:Other stuff you mentioned.
Escape button. I was supposed to take that out before release. That was just for my benefit while testing.
Fly indefinitely off screen. Ahh yes I never thought of that. Would have been a simple fix as well.
Bubble constantly moving. Yes I should have made it stop once it got to a certain level of speed. My bad
No pause feature. Yep that would have been a good use for the escape button. I didn't think of including a pause button.

Ok you know what I did wrong with this game. I had no testers. Just me. I made it in a short amount of time(Around a week) and only tested it myself.
I have since learnt that the information testers can give is invaluable(if you find the right testers) And this game would have really benefited with this kind of feedback before it was released. It was my own fault for not getting help in that department.
On that note Im currently making a game for the 2015 indie game making comp. You interested in testing it out for me when it comes a bit further along? as you have the right skills for the kind of feedback that is needed before the release of a game
