@Max McGee those boats are looking pretty awesome

Whatchu Workin' On? Tell us!

My animation creation program is pretty much complete
I do want to add the ability to change face texture during the animation.
But at the moment I can fully make animations and export them to native Blitz3D code

You could have a random location that was always in the central range, or something like that ^.^
Or have different world shapes with different starting point pools, like a crescent-shaped island, an archipelago, etc.

Both pretty good ideas. The truth is I am a long way off from having to decide on this part of it yet. All comments are welcome though as they will help me make my final decision.

well Im not to sure at the moment.
each was originally 1260 square meters but character size is slightly larger than I originally anticipated And I haven't worked it out yet but I think it probably is about a square kilometer now.

That is a good idea about the more difficult biomes. But my original idea was to have you start in a random location when the game starts(so you might start at the edge) but yeah a sense of progression is needed and your idea solves it.

Yep that second screenshot is much better pizza. very nice graphical style

grindalf man you are operating on a whole nother plane of technical sophistication from most of us.

Haha thanks but really I think its just my inability to adapt to other ways of doing things. I prefer to reinvent the wheel :P

Every time I see a post here that uses 3D, I get a little bit jealous.

I will take that as a compliment :)
But its not so bad you just have to find the tool that best suits you. I tried using Unity for a while but the learning curve is way to steep so many buttons for everything you might conceive of that you cant find what you want. Im using Blitz3D for this at the moment.

I don't think I've actually seen any screenshots of this game though, just a bunch of character models. Post a screenshot, brodalf!

Theres not really any gameplay as of yet because the combat and crafting has not been sorted out yet.
But world creation for the most part is finished(for the overworld at least anyway)

Heres a quick snapshot of a road joining two cities(I didnt have enough time to explore the cities though) But roads are quite a new thing so I haven't seen them much myself yet so I thought it would make a nice shot :)

I love the art style.

Thanks pianotm :)
I get that on occasion as well. If it wasn't for comments like this I would seriously consider changing the art style(which would mean Hiring a 3D designer)

Love the name. Less in love with the graphical style.

Thanks :)
The graphical style will change a little I guess as I update models ect but just think of it as a slightly better version of what you see here.
I tried many different styles but the truth of the matter is Im not a 3D artist and it took to much effort to do the other styles and this was the style that took the least amount of effort for me(And when you have to populate an entire world with NPCs and characters then least is best)

But you are not alone I have had several people tell me they dislike the graphical style. Thanks for the input anyway. wether or not I act upon your comment it at least prepares me for the fact that I may take a dip in sales from it.

Whatchu Workin' On? Tell us!

I have my own character format in the grimoire. It consists of interchangeable body parts in .x format so I can create randomly different characters all using the same animation code. As a result no 3D animation program exports to my format......so I made my own Animation program :D
