Help Us Debug The Demo!

author=Killer Wolf
I had to use F1 to call up a menu and enable music and sound. Not sure how they were toggled off, but it makes a big difference in my overall appreciation of the game.

...Probably you played another RMXP game and shut off them. The F1 settings are set not for each game, but for each RGSS dll.

Salut =),

Testing - Doing Our Part

I'll be doing some good testing, but after getting some stuff I have between hands done (graphic remaking, specifically, is what I'm by now). I'm a bit delayed with it...
I have a lot of eventing stuff that could be useful to test, or at least I think so. Mostly about behaviour comparisons.

I've not forgotten it,

A black screen appears, then nothing happens. There's no process running or anything, it just does nothing.
There's a little mistake in the packaging. It includes the file RGSS103J.dll, but uses instead the RGSS102E.dll. You can download the necessary file here (external site) or redownload the entire RTP if you like an official source.

Hope it helps,

What are you thinking about right now?

Your mom (yes, you're).

What Videogames Are You Playing Right Now?

It's strange to not play anything. I just don't have time for it.
Oh well! I'm playing by now the FFE demo, Outlaw City and BeatifulEscape! And Hero's Realm too.
And testing my own game too, can I consider that? Lol.

But anything beyond the RM Games, nothing,

why I almost quit RPG Maker (several times)

I think hobbies have a goal. A personal one. You chill out with your friends watching TV for some reason, right? Because you like to do it, and because you have a relation with them (enjoy it and it gives you something, and no, it's not bucks).
As Dyhalto somehow said, "Work" and "Hobby" definitions are much more complicated than saying "this is what I make in my spare time and what I enjoy" and "this is what I do by obligation and gets almost all of my time" (in which case, your work is sleeping, it fits ;D).
==
As for this. I thought about leaving it? Not entirely. I left for some months the RPG Maker engine. But I didn't got far from game creation. I did some tries with C programming (in vain), thinking about my project being developed "from scratch".

But I never got really far from this,

Enemy Encounter help- VX

You can do it. You just need to not use any monster ability. Instead, use the monster group's event box Edit: You set the condition to "Monster's HP Percentage" and switch --you'll need to activate that switch before the battle--, and select "Turn"). There, you can make the changes, use some waiting, and do anything you want for your battle scene.

And that's all, cheers,
Orochii Zouveleki

PD.: Althought I don't know if the "battle's judge" is programmed to stop the battle at ANY time (say, in middle of an event... Erilex used to do in RM2k battles without starting monsters that appeared just at Turn#0). It's more like try it and test the program's behaviour.

By now, the game seems pretty neat! There are all of those grammar/message... stuff, a little teleport misplacement and a crashing bug. I promise to give further details when I finish the demo.

Good luck,
Orochii Zouveleki

Edit: I experienced Zyvin's nº1 too. But my PC is a very-slow machine.
Also, Stack errors are aliasing problems. You only need to do "alias some_thing thing unless $@". It's an easy fix =3.

It's more something related to "resource cache". When you make (or not) a script reference to a file directly (without using a RPG::Cache), frankly I don't get to understand very well the Cache class implementation lol x'D (at least the portion that comes in the RMXP Help file.
But I'm not pretty sure. I am of those that doesn't likes encryption, so I haven't trashed enough with it.

Sorry for the intrusion, good luck,
Orochii Zouveleki

Edit: Well, again, I am wrong x'D. That's good =).
