THATBENNYGUY'S PROFILE

I am CashmereCat now.

~~~
Twisted baubles replace my brain and I am toxic yet nice. There's a lot to me, but also not a lot going on up there, they say. PM me because I love attention, I do interviews, I do reviews, I do stuff. Here for the long haul. Gotta hustle.
I'm working on whatever I'm working on, and I love RPG Maker games that aren't traditional RPGs. Puzzlers, interactive stories, but nothing too abstract that'll weird me out. Just give me a polished gem and I'll stare at it for days, marveling at the way the light reflects just right, inner inflections, potato top pie.
I want to make games with you.
Moving away from the JRPG in Gameplay
This looks frickin' beautiful. Put on my "must play" list.
Late b'day update
Keep up the good work Luchino you are a fantastic developer and I am excited about all your projects even if I haven't finished them all yet. I'm 1 hour through Enelysion. :)
Late b'day update
Hey Luchi
Congrats on ur birthday. I urge you do not be despondent on the lack of success of your title. There are actually lots of titles that go relatively unplayed and Enelysion is actually quite popular. It has three reviews and quite a few downloads on this site and RMW. There are some fantastic games that only have 50 downloads and no reviews. Just keep making games even if 1 person enjoys them. No need to be depressed just because people don't express huge outbursts of ecstatic joy whenever they catch news of ur game.
Also, your maps are unique but there are also tons of people that make great maps as well. Not many games are made with 10+ members, and also don't be against those games. We're all on the same team here.
That said, keep making games and I enjoy looking at your maps. Happy birthday.
Back to the Dudesoft--- I mean, Future!
I bash thyself.
It's good that you're being honest with yourself yuna21. Personally, I think your game is quite engaging and features a ton of custom art and assets, and a lot of care has gone into making the game. Granted you may not be pleased with how the gameplay, story, characters have come along, but many others don't feel the same way that you do. This game has a lot of fans and you should be proud of that.
That said, don't feel the need to continue with the project if you don't want to. Do what makes you feel good. Either way, you've created a grand RPG that many, many people have enjoyed and for that very rare achievement you should be proud. Perhaps start a clean slate and make some more amazing games, or just do whatever you like. Treat this as a stepping stone to something greater.
And yes, you are bashing yourself because this game is by no means a bad game. I mean I'm not going to pity you but all I can say is be encouraged that you are a lot more than you think of yourself.
Difficulty
What I think is happening is that people don't have much patience for minigames and challenging gameplay in story-based games.
Not the case at all. I have plenty of patience, I would have spent hours on a puzzle if it was good. Heck, your puzzle isn't long at all. It's just it takes 15-20 minutes when it should take 2 minutes based on its simplicity. It's just finnicky things that pose fake difficulty. Rust and Blood had puzzles that you had to strategise more than this puzzle. I'm not sure why you're not admitting that the puzzle doesn't require that much effort to complete, but still a lot of patience because it's just not well designed. I didn't mind dying and going back the previous save in Rust and Blood because it *worked for the game*. This doesn't work for this game. I don't mean to be harsh but this is just what I feel about the game. I don't like the puzzle because it's difficult, it's not very difficult at all. It's just difficult to finish because of finnicky controls, and silly design decisions. Sorry, man.
Better description of the game than my own
"Don’t forget to check out SnowOwl’s other games, too, like Reap and Sow and Skinwalker."
What about Miserere lol
Indie statik reviews Skinwalker
They should have reviewed Rust and Blood instead, they'd be blown away man, your skills made me cri in that game T_T
Release
Poetry, man. Straight up poetry.
Completed Ace revision and a new encounter system
That whole blue/red/green colour coding system for event behaviour is genius. If a player can have immediate recognition of gameplay via simple yet subtle visual cues, then you've achieved something great - players having the ability to prove their smartness and skill of recognition due to experience with the game. Which is what any good game should rely on.
