[DynRPG] CMS Tools: DynRPG IPS Patch Compilation

I know this probably should belong somewhere else, but considering I was using one of the prepatched RPG_RTs to do it... plus Cherry doesn't have a topic for the BetterAEP...

Whenever I try to use End Event Processing, no matter what variable is in 3350, I get a crash.

Access violation in module 'RPG_RT.exe' in with address 004CA000 and offset 004CA000 of type Write occured.

Now personally I think this is because for whatever reason my computer is dumb and is forcing my Projects folder to be Read-only (would make sense with "Write"), but I'm not sure if that's the case. It's only been happening with this pre-patched one. I would've tried to do a project with just the BetterAEP patch, but LunarIPS is failing to write on it (again, probably the same issue).

PepsiOtaku's DynRPG Plugin Emporium!

Personally, I'd just kill for a demo of the save/load menu, because that's REALLY cool. The titlescreen seems simple enough to do with pictures, as does the party selection screen, but that save/load is something else what with all the information displayed AND how many save files are there. It doesn't even have to be a PnP; just simply being able to see the coding for some of these custom menu systems would be enough, at least for advanced enough users of the engine, to be able to adapt them to their own uses.

As for DBS updates... I'll echo the turn-based request. Really my only thing with the DBS is speed (which is eliminated with turn-based), the fact that MP healing doesn't show up on the screen, and if a skill is 0MP, it'll show "Skill Name - 0" instead of just showing the skill name.

So I guess... also add on a way to show MP healing? I don't know how possible that is, haha.

[DynRPG Plug-in] Main Menu Game Playtime Clock

This plug-in is now the best THE BEST. Awesome work, PepsiOtaku! :D

Went ahead and tested it and it works great. I may or may not be using that changing FG/BG feature, but it's a very nice addition.

What are you thinking about right now?

I am laughing way too hard at this Law & Order intro ending.

Officer: "He was wearing one of those Jewish beady things."
Detective: "Son... that's called a yamaka."
*Intro music plays*

So, totally worrying about that doctor's appointment for no reason.

... 'cause it wasn't even today. Went up there, only to find out it's the 11th, not the 4th, and it's all due to the receptionist's terrible handwriting. .-.

Kicking myself for not calling up to confirm the appointment.

What are you thinking about right now?

To find out if I'm finally going to be able to get the medication I've needed for years. Had bloodwork and everything done and my doctor had to get a hold like of three other of the doctors I work with to figure out if I could get them. :x

I'm just worried my neurologist will nix the whole thing because I have an issue with low blood potassium and one of the meds I'd be on is known to lower blood potassium.

What are you thinking about right now?

Kinda worried about my doctor's appointment tomorrow...

Wow, I had 648 posts... Crazy. :P

[DynRPG Plug-in] Main Menu Game Playtime Clock

Well, as for space things... I actually made it so the foreground covers up where a fourth party member would be, since my game only has three max for a battle party. So there's this big empty space under the party window that gave me the idea. As for where to put it otherwise... I'd say above the Time window, but considering if you include ALL the menu options, like in the demo, there's no room... It'd probably take someone wanting to custom do it, rather than being a PnP.

I know it's not set as Foregroundimage because it shows as a background on the main menu. And there's also this:

ForegroundImage=Picture\menu-time_fg.png
DummyImage=Picture\Pixel.png
BackgroundImage=Picture\blocks.png

"blocks.png" is the full panorama. And again, it works WONDERFULLY on the main menu.

But when I go to save the game...

No, that's not me uploading a picture of the panorama. I'd make a gif of it if I could but... .-.

EDIT: Guess I should include what I DID do with the foreground file... Transparencies are pretty sweet for getting this to work well.

@Xenomic: Easy fix for that - go into your game's directory and delete all the files with the extension ".dyn." Should be like "Save01.dyn" and such. No, it won't destroy your save or anything that DynRPG's done to them. It'll just allow the game to reset with the new plug-ins. That crashing thing happened to me as well when I installed a new plug-in, but after I deleted the .dyn files, it worked perfectly (and it created a new .dyn file).

[Poll] Xbox One or PS4? Which one will you be buying?

author=kentona
I bought Monster Hunter 3 from a bargain bin for the Wii a few months ago. It's still unwrapped. Is it any good?

Well... considering the servers went down about a month ago... Half the fun of Tri was playing online with friends, since it was really the first one in English you could do that with (before it was just local ad hoc with Freedom Unite). I'd say if you like grindy MMO-like action games... it's worth it to at least try?

I'd still take Tri with a grain of salt at this point, though, because it's the first in the third generation of Monster Hunter games (there's been two iterations since along with a port). So it's going to be severely limited in terms of content compared to say... 3 Ultimate (which just came out).

If you're willing to deal with clawhand and have a modded PSP, it might be worth it to just play Portable 3rd if you don't have 3DS or the money to get 3 Ultimate. But... on its own, Tri isn't BAD... and is a decent place to start... But it's definitely not a typical action game.
