Lunar Wish: Orbs Of Fate is an indie role-playing game developed by LusterMX for the RPG fan community. It provides a unique experience unlike other RPGs in the community and has been made to provide the most complete and fulfilling downloadable gameplay experiences players can enjoy.
One of the elements which set Lunar Wish: Orbs of Fate apart from other games of its genre is that it does not feature a clear main protagonist, despite initial impressions of leading characters. This has been implemented to allow each and every one of the characters to develop and expand at their own pace; the progression of the storyline is also unique in this respect as each of the characters has a significant part to play in the plot. There is no hierarchy within Lunar Wish: each character is considered integral to the overall storyline and gameplay experience. As a result, the game itself is rich in character development and is supplemented by surprising twists and unexpected methods of progression, which are guaranteed to take the player on their own journey of discovery as they play along with the characters. Comedic elements are also continually employed, to give the game its characteristic feel and tone through the character’s voices. While on the surface, Lunar Wish may seem like an innocuous, unexciting RPG, but in reality it does well to subvert the player’s expectations of the standard RPG template.
The gameplay schematic of Lunar Wish was designed to be as simple to understand and play as possible. This was done so that even players who are unfamiliar with the RPG genre could start playing immediately and allow themselves to immerse themselves in the world of Lunar Wish. There are no complex systems to learn and the learning curve is kept minimal as to allow as much of the game to shine through as possible. Skill Trees are used within the game to obtain new skills: this system allows the player to further expand their experience with the game as they progress and become more familiar with the game’s structure. As the characters learn new skills and become more adept in battle, as does the player. The simplistic yet effective system of each character focusing on a different element, tactic and strategy means that battling is always enjoyable without ever being overwhelming.
Lunar Wish is ideally suited to casual gamers, but the prime difficulty level means that there are always new challenges ready to surprise and test the player’s ability to think on their feet. Lunar Wish succeeds in bridging the gap between simplicity and difficulty which is a common problem amongst many games of this genre.
Lunar Wish: Orbs Of Fate has been in development for 5 long gruelling years and is truly a labour of love devoted to members of the RPG fanbase community. It has finally been completed as of 27th April 2013. Estimates would place the total game time at just over 12 hours, but take note that Orbs of Fate is just the first part of an epic duo of RPG games, the second of which will be coming very soon. I hope you enjoy playing Lunar Wish: Orbs of Fate just as much as I enjoyed making and developing it. Happy playing!

Nooo. I think it would be better if he changed the quest book to journal. That is what I was trying to point out. But anyways it doesn't matter now because there are apparently going to be side-quests for the full release.
I first saw this in RPG Maker VX.net, now here, I played A Midhorror Night and I loved it, hoping better from this game. Subscribed and waiting for completion! And expect a review and some feedback in a while!! ^^
Any chance of getting a demo? I found the original post on RMVX.net and it's Megaupload. That site's down. :/
=========================================
Okay I've drawn the line from here. The game is now officially and fully released as of 4th May 2013. Most comments above have to do with the demo which came out years ago and is now outdated.

PLAY THE FULL FREE VERSION NOW!
Buzzing to play this game. Definitely one of the better games here but you might want to fix the download button so we can actually download it.

OH
I did not foresee this to happen.
It's been temporarily disabled because it appears too many people are trying to download it :P
I'm going to have to find another alternative as a secondary option to download, but the current like should work soon
benos
My mind is full of fuck.

lmao, funny moments in the start with the voice.
Have a go at downloading it now. I hope this one doesn't crash...
I know I pretty much said this in RM web, but I love this game.

I recommend it to anyone who is looking for a game made with RPG maker
Great game so far but i am kinda stuck in Mt Lemele at the beginning with the 2 rocks puzzle can someone help me please!
Don't know what to do with them.
Push the 2 boulders next to each other. :)
Hey all, hey all!

Lunar Wish has been updated to V1.01!
The changes are as follows:
1.01 Updates:
*General improvements
*Exp Rate of a few monsters has increased
*Encounter Rate decreased in some areas
*Tash's base HP has increased
*Money rate has increased on all monsters
*Phreeoni's quake damage has been reduced
*Garm's Freeze damage has been reduced
*Falk's blade and Nya's claws have become faster

Basically monsters have become much more tolerable. You don't need to update if you've already got 1.00, but 1.01 should make things easier.

This is only for the main download for now
Game's awesome, been waiting for this for a long while now lol.
But, I do have a question about the BoP woods:
After I traveled around through the left and right places of the BoP woods and encountered all the scenes, I go to the South Part after the Elder Bunny gives me the key and the money. I turn on all the switches and basically nothing happens...

I have no idea what to do. Is there like, a hidden item or maybe the buttons are have to be in a certain order?

Look at the coloured flowers. Going from left to right, hit the switches in that order. Hope that helps :)

Ah, it works now. Thanks alot.
Oh ho, this slipped in under the radar. I'll be giving this a shot.

Found a small bug, after doing the academy head's first request and getting the exp reward, Falk actually got knocked back a level.

So, maybe I did something wrong and bugged this out somehow, but I think I broke Falk's skill tree. When I went to buy the second (was it third?) level of Falk's second attack up skill, it suddenly turned into Earth Strike Level 6. I now have lost the attack up skill entirely and have mastered Earth Strike without spending any points in it. Turns out Earth Strike Lv. 6 is a decent investment anyway, so I'm not too upset about it, but it seems like something you might want to fix.

Enjoying the game thus far. It has some balance issues (why are enemy physical attacks so weak and magical attacks take 70+% of my health per shot?), some characters seem useless (looking at you Arc, though Cindy is not a particularly useful character on bosses either) and the plot is a tad aimless (I've been on the same basic quest for hours!) but the dialogue is funny, the characters are zany, and the game looks pretty good.
Thank you for the bug reports, I'll try to fix them all immediately and upload a new version soon. Glad you're enjoying it :D

I am not enjoying the pillar moving thingie in the mountain after getting Saber. I tried that gazillion of times and it always seem to be like at least one rock too much. Any advice?
