Lunar Wish: Orbs Of Fate is an indie role-playing game developed by LusterMX for the RPG fan community. It provides a unique experience unlike other RPGs in the community and has been made to provide the most complete and fulfilling downloadable gameplay experiences players can enjoy.
One of the elements which set Lunar Wish: Orbs of Fate apart from other games of its genre is that it does not feature a clear main protagonist, despite initial impressions of leading characters. This has been implemented to allow each and every one of the characters to develop and expand at their own pace; the progression of the storyline is also unique in this respect as each of the characters has a significant part to play in the plot. There is no hierarchy within Lunar Wish: each character is considered integral to the overall storyline and gameplay experience. As a result, the game itself is rich in character development and is supplemented by surprising twists and unexpected methods of progression, which are guaranteed to take the player on their own journey of discovery as they play along with the characters. Comedic elements are also continually employed, to give the game its characteristic feel and tone through the character’s voices. While on the surface, Lunar Wish may seem like an innocuous, unexciting RPG, but in reality it does well to subvert the player’s expectations of the standard RPG template.
The gameplay schematic of Lunar Wish was designed to be as simple to understand and play as possible. This was done so that even players who are unfamiliar with the RPG genre could start playing immediately and allow themselves to immerse themselves in the world of Lunar Wish. There are no complex systems to learn and the learning curve is kept minimal as to allow as much of the game to shine through as possible. Skill Trees are used within the game to obtain new skills: this system allows the player to further expand their experience with the game as they progress and become more familiar with the game’s structure. As the characters learn new skills and become more adept in battle, as does the player. The simplistic yet effective system of each character focusing on a different element, tactic and strategy means that battling is always enjoyable without ever being overwhelming.
Lunar Wish is ideally suited to casual gamers, but the prime difficulty level means that there are always new challenges ready to surprise and test the player’s ability to think on their feet. Lunar Wish succeeds in bridging the gap between simplicity and difficulty which is a common problem amongst many games of this genre.
Lunar Wish: Orbs Of Fate has been in development for 5 long gruelling years and is truly a labour of love devoted to members of the RPG fanbase community. It has finally been completed as of 27th April 2013. Estimates would place the total game time at just over 12 hours, but take note that Orbs of Fate is just the first part of an epic duo of RPG games, the second of which will be coming very soon. I hope you enjoy playing Lunar Wish: Orbs of Fate just as much as I enjoyed making and developing it. Happy playing!

Vitata items in barrels is 70 and you are looking at find.
Figured I'd comment again since tyrone is such a big town and I've been all over the place looking for glitches and such. Not sure what those purple glow things are for (I found 5 of them I think), and I'm thinking they'll play a part later in the game. Most of the crafters I can't utilize yet, but that's understandable since it's my first visit to the town, and it's still early on.

Not too many bugs here, but I found a few typo's and such.

1. The student that sniffs says peope instead of people if you talk to him normally.

2. When you reach the graveyard, falk says find to find his gravestone rather than need to find his gravestone.

3. In the tyrone armor shop, it says the dollarbill gown is unequipable by cindy when that isn't true. She can wear it just fine. By this I mean the armor is greyed out next to her.

4. If you go to the left of tyrone to gummi's helper, the text dialog activates when you run into her, instead of when you hit the action key.

5. You typo'd to on the magical well description in the shop menu. I just bought it, and the typo is in the characters skill menu as well.

Sorta glad I spent all that time crafting the weak gear earlier, since that tyrone eats right through your mana. At any rate I'm still enjoying the game and now I have my fourth party member. I'm hoping I start running into actual challenging bosses here soon since so far they've given me no trouble. That mountain boss would of been dangerous if I hadn't had recover though...I'll admit.

Current important items on me so far: 3 skill crystals (saving these till I know what my main party is going to be), 3 level eggs (I see these being more useful when levels get harder to obtain), tons of ingredients I'm hoping to utilize in towwn later, and I've added a phreeoni gem alongside my whisper gem.

Also wait a minute...what happened to my banana coke (the very first one I got). I still have my apple coke, but my banana coke seems to of gone missing. There's no way I would of used that item (unless I misclicked somewhere down the line). The fact that's disappeared makes me want to start over.

I've finally found time to start playing this seriously and I'm enjoying it thus far. I found a few minor bugs I'll post in a minute, though I should mention I didn't bother recording the ones with passability errors since these often seem to occur due to certain scenes, and they aren't game breaking either and thus they'd probably be a huge pain to fix.

1. After I find the midnight dew and everyone heads to bed, cindy doesn't recover her hp. I would of assumed it would of healed the whole party after that scene. Seems this is the case for every sleep scene.

2. I noticed every single skill in tash's skillset requires level 5 mind arrow to be learned. Shouldn't the third skills require some of the second skill to be learned, rather than just the first skill?

3. The special book from falks room never disappears after it appears in his inventory.

4. In fates skill tree, auto life does not require recover to learn like represented by the arrows.

5. At the beginning of chapter 3, Falk says: didn't you say you're family lives in avale town. You're should be your.

6. I don't know when it happened exactly, but the sign in yanbear woods turned invisible (although you can still examine where it is to get the message, and it still blocks your path).

7. It doesn't seem worth the effort to spend all that time on vitala leg items. It took me mayby 30 mins to get my first 20 and the sword is weaker than my meat getter (which was way easier to get for a mere 1200 mana). I'll still get all 3 items though..

At any rate I'm nearly done with chapter 3 and it's been fun thus far (though I hate the fact I can't go back to that first cavern after obtaining the x-ray glasses). I've found two level eggs (which I'm saving), a skill crystal, and a radical shard/whisper gem (which I suspect may have a use down the line). One other thing I found strange is the guy carrying a heavy sword can attack twice, but the one with claws can only hit once. At any rate, this is a start, and I'll post again when I've progressed a couple more chapters.

Edit: Just to give an idea on what I meant by the vitata items not being worth it, I'll give an example. Not only are they far more difficult to obtain than my forementioned better weapon, but after obtaining 2 weapons (just finished my second weapon), I have a full party of one level 12, and two level 13s, and I have 4647 mana that there's no need to spend since I have all the best equipment from that town. Factor in the fact that I havn't obtained a vitata leg from every vitata (sometimes I even obtained 0 in a triple vitata battle) and the fact I've run from 8-10 battles that didn't obtain a vitata...that's a lot of grinding for equipment that isn't all great.

Don't get me wrong though, the idea itself isn't bad. The equipment is just isn't good enough for all the time and effort you have to spend for it. It's not even hard to get really...just time consuming. I'd prefer fighting a challenging miniboss for ingredients over this, especially if the equipment was good. I think the equipment needs a buff, and the ingredients need to have some sort of challenge to getting them rather than just wasting a lot of time in the area.

Edit 2: Forgot to mention, but when you pick an item from a trader, it doesn't even ask for a confirmation if that's the correct item, the main character just says here. I havn't misclicked any, but that doesn't mean it couldn't happen to others.

Edit 3: I must of been tired last night...I just noticed the claw user has weapon 1 and weapon 2...rather than weapon and shield. My mistake there.

In mention to how you mentioned Nya hitting only one with her claws; the guy with the sword hits twice with his sword but every other character apart from Myst only hits twice with TWO weapons equipped, meaning Nya needs two claws to hit twice. If she has both on she will hit twice. You start with one claw and the second feline claw is in her cave, you have to use the goggles to find it.

I only bought one claw from the vitata leg trader. I think part of the point is to get you to train a bit while obtaining the legs, but really at that point all you need is the claw which is better than her feline claw.
@demonlord
Thanks Demonlord for the very detailed response. It's very refreshing to have such a meaty load of feedback :3
You're probably going to find a lot of typos, but I do my best to clear them up. Anyhoo, I'll do my best to vanquish them soon! About you losing the banana coke must be annoying and a case like that has never happened in the history of the 3 month existence of Lunar Wish. I will say now though, you won't be able to get 100% without it...
I should thank you for spending time, playing my game and even checking for any residue of bugs. I hope you continue to enjoy it :D
Yeah I'm not sure what happened with the coke, my only theory is that I possibly misclicked that night when I was tired while playing it. Luckily I didn't miss anything besides a damage boost from that day (I found all her claws, I just neglected to notice that she had two weapon slots at the time). I did manage to find a save with the coke on it, though I lost a bit of progress as a result, but I'm almost back to where I was. My testing habits saved me in that regard. I'd rather replay an hour or two than replay the whole game.

Anyways I'm gonna keep at it and I'll probably be back at the swamp cave soon. The worst part is grinding for all that mana again. I had near everything minus a few techniques/armor pieces (minus the jewelry shop accessories, I'm gonna get them later on). I should be back to where i was before tomorrow though.

By the way, I think that trader that creates heart amulets in town is kind of pointless. I'd rather spend 1200 mana for a heart amulet than waste my precious materials that could go into sidequests/future craft shops. I'm hoping that trader will start having some useful items in the near future though. Well anyways, this is all I can think of for now off the top of my head.

I'll keep enjoying the game and let ya know when I get further!
Here's a bit more feedback for ya!

I must say, the reward for the elegant fan wasn't quite what I expected. I took the time to revisit town after gathering the shards in the ice cave. Just killed the garm boss, but he was a joke and died in two turns. I'm finding arrowseye village to be interesting, and so far I haven't really noticed any bugs.

One thing I've noticed about the game is falks party is sort of easy mode, while the segments with fates party is a bit more medium-hard mode, depending on what skills you invest in. I also wish tash could get items to equip in her shield slot, such as different kinds of quivers. At any rate, all the quests and such have been fun (loved the dialog in the pub) though the game feels sort of grindy when it comes to mana. At any rate, just wanted to let ya know I've gotten back to where I was and even further. I'll keep ya updated.

Edit: Now that I'm looking at the arrowseye shops more closely, I just realized that the armor shops have no shields for fate, and the weapon shop is oddly organized. By that I mean fate has two different sections of staffs. It goes from: Fates staffs, Tashs's bows, Fates staffs again, sabers weapons. I actually bought a weaker staff at first because I didn't realize it.

Edit 2: I havn't posted these normally...but this passability issue is a bit worse than the others. Sorry about the white box, I was too lazy to fix the size.

Edit 3: The shamrocks were an interesting idea for a battle of attrition boss, but in the end they do so little damage that I can easily pick them off one at a time.

Edit 4: With the lumini town/forest, you could of made the x-ray goggles work outside as well. The theme of them is dark places, and the theme of the areas is nighttime. At any rate, just a suggestion.

Edit 5: Killing kabold elites all day long. These things take some actual effort to kill. Plus I'd rather kill them than stun them.

Edit 6: Another boss down. It had nothing on the kabold elites, but at least the mana drain made him slightly annoying.

Edit 7: Once the party unites and dia tells the story, she says elfy can down (should be came down).

Edit 8: On the magic boots description, it says sp restores each time you get it...i'm guessing it is supposed to be hit.

Edit 9: you neglected to put any x-ray items in the very first cave in the game.

Edit 10: In arrowseye village, if you examine the empty broken down house, tash still says there's nothing for me here (in ghostly form), when she already has her body back.

Edit 11: Ice spears description says it's a wind based attack.

Edit 12: There's another bad looking passability error in the bottom left corner at the healing point in the tanburn passage.

Edit 13: I just noticed pressing a speeds my party up. I don't have any new gadgets yet (still just the throwing star/goggles), so that's probably a glitch.

Edit 14: In the cow roundup minigame, it's possible for a cow to get stuck up there just to the left of kestrel making it impossible (luckily I saved before I attempted it). I believe this was probably caused due to the cows position when I finished the dialog to start the minigame. So a cow moved to the left, I finish the dialog to spawn my party onto the field, and then that cow is successfully trapped with no hope of completing the minigame. I also feel there should be more to this minigame, because waiting on a cow to move in the right direction out of 4 random directions is kind of a pain. Sometimes you end up waiting for a min or more just because of unlucky direction picks by the cow.

Edit 15: You typo'd happening in the conversation in tags private chambers.

Edit 16: When confronting the leader of snow downtown, sacrificed is spelt wrong. I think I saw another typo too, but I'm a fast reader and pressed the button too quickly to confirm it.

Comments so far: The bosses are interesting, but they still havn't even come close to defeating me. Some of my characters have even been underleveled too. Overall I think some of the characters could be rebalanced, but in the end I can just use the good characters. I find magic to be a bit underpowered considering all these double hit physical moves you get...that even come with easy ways to exploit elemental weaknesses. Even in the case of the physical reflect boss, all I had to do was use a reflect breaker and then he went down without too much of a struggle.

In the end I'm still enjoying the game, and I'm hoping to give you ideas for the next game as I go alone.

Edit 17: Even though I get control of fate's party at the inn after what seems like they had just rested up (after all the scenes), the party isn't recovered.

Edit 18: When you get introduced to a healer, comrades is spelt wrong.

Edit 19: It seems it's in this later part of the game where all the typos are. I think I just saw another happening typo'd during the scene with kestrel.

Edit 20: Sacrificed is spelt wrong when getting the sugar from the farmer.

Edit 21: a man in the bottom left of tyrone has security spelt wrong.

Edit 22: In the tyrone prison, there's a prisoner (top right cell) who can walk on the cell walls.

This is getting really long. I think I'm done editing for now since I need to figure out where to complete all these sidequests.

Edit 23: With the boss on mt gelado, is there any way to tell which reflect status is active? I can win either way, but I feel like most of the damage I've taken have been from my own attacks. I'm fairly sure it's not a simple of physical reflect one turn, magical reflect the next and so on. I also don't think he's switching after I hit him with a physical/magical attack, which I can only speculate that he changes it randomly at the end of the turn after hes been hit.

Hmm since I can't figure it out...it's time to make fate into my guinea pig. Shine doesn't do much damage, so I'll spam my weak magical attack over n over till it gets reflected, and then go all out with my physical attacks with falk/saber. My last guy can stick to recovering in the rare case I need it. Damn..my theory was wrong. Time for a new strategy then. I'll hit him with shine, one strong physical, one does nothing, and one heals me. That should win me the fight. In fact, if I use sabers thunder skills, I just get healed even if it's reflected. Quite the annoying boss, but not really dangerous.

Victory. So far I have kestrels, mysts, falks, arcs, and tashs item. Now to go complete the coke dream for the next one. Still no idea where to get soulstones yet though...but I'm sure I'll figure that out eventually.

Edit 24: After you reach the coke fountain, you can walk through the coke lady and she no longer speaks. If you leave the screen and come back, she's still there, but you can no longer walk through her. She also doesn't speak still. At any rate, the coke cloak is mine. That's 6 legendary items down. Make that 7, just got nyas armor.

I think I'm missing 4 legendary items. If the tournament/soulstones both lead to one, and the skill sidequest lead to one, that leaves me with one I'm clueless on how to get. Mayby I'll figure it out as I go though. Make that 3, I just completed the blue orb tournament. Heh, found fate's (I forgot about that guy), so that makes two to go. I know one of them is soulstones...not sure about the other.

Phew, this has gotten really long but I'm nearly done. I figured out how to obtain soulstones now that I've finally ran into a spirit (I encountered one in the mountain before, but thought it was the instant game over monster), so that means I need to check every single dungeon. As for the last armor...let's just say I have a theory. It's a place I haven't backtracked to but probably should of. I should be done with this tomorrow as I imagine there can't be much after the portal. It did just let me get all my ultimate gear after all. I officisllu hsve all my gear. Now to stock up on skills and complete this game.

Mu highest character is falk (level 41) with the rest being in the 20s-30s since I don't really like grinding much. I probably will end up grinding a bit though so I can get every single skill from that trainer before turning in my last sidequest.

Overall, I've enjoyed the game and I hope all this info was helpful. One thing I felt was lacking was the presence of powerful bosses. In the games current form I just went through and demolished them. Some of them had some annoying habits, but I wouldn't really consider them dangerous. In the end they would only stall my inevitable victory. I think this needs some more powerful bosses/secret superbosses and then I could enjoy it all the more.

Ah right, as far as the mana drop rate, I think it's probably fine. If I really wanted to I could of gone through the game with the minimum, it's just I don't like leaving stuff behind. Also It's not like I ever bought consumables either, since the game provides you with more than enough. I also rarely even used them. Currently I'm making sure all my characters are in the level 35-40 range, and then I'll make sure they all have every single skill they can buy. At that point I'll head to the portal. Actually screw it, going to the portal now that I have all my skills. I hate grinding, I play the rpgs for story/gameplay..not running in circles.
Stuck in Applon while looking for the Portal Station.. please help, I already clicked everything and went into all walkable houses... but found nothing (at least there is a suspicious guy talking about trees that are warm o_O"

Edit: oh nevermind... I should put on my glasses next time -_-
Edit2: oh btw... very nice game! enjoying it every minute I can and one notices there's love put into this game <3
Side completion: 100%
Side boss count: 0
Total play time: 93531
total number of steps: 119536
Save count: 249

My stats at the end. That was a nice trick at the end. I was hoping to level up in that final area, but it seems I'll have to wait but that's no big deal. I can't really think of anything else to add since my huge post above this one covers most of my opinions. I can't wait to try the next one!

I also could not find it even though it was right in

@Demonlord5000
I actually only noticed the edits you added to your post now. :P
I'm glad you liked my game enough as to get 100% in it!! You must also be like an RPG veteran due to how easy you found it; well, originally, I aimed for a very casual approach much like Pokemon where everything is really easy, but it's fun to customise. The bosses were actually arguably quite hard for a lot of other people, believe it or not. There was one instant where I had to make a video on how to beat a particular boss for people :P
I'm going to take all your feedback alongside many others for Lunar Wish: The Rebellion.
I'll fix all the bugs and glitches soon as well...
Are the bosses that hard for casual players? :o I've heard that new players of super mario bros. (NES) nowadays barely clear stage 1-1. But this game's bosses...? I admit they're challenging, but that hard? I don't believe it :o What in the world has happened to gaming nowadays...?
IMO, the bosses in the beginning are mostly powerful due to mooks and strong spells, along with the fact that equipment is kind of expensive. Of course, this doesn't matter much because pre-battle buffing with food items and shop buffs is usually enough to power through the bosses even with lesser equipment.

The bosses should be more like Kaho and require a little more strategy to beat their gimmicks. For Kaho, simply powering through and buffing usually results in powerful attacks being reflected back because of his random reflect status. I'd say figuring out the trick to overcoming his reflect status feels a lot more fulfilling than simply outdoing him in level and stats.

In the second part, it would be great if the bosses had more tricks up their sleeves to punish basic spam tactics.
Somehow I have managed to miss the "Grape Coke" I can't find it anywhere. Could someone give me a hint to what area it is in please?
@Trebori
You can find it by doing the side quest for the man in Vareni Place. It'll be the reward for completing it.

Hope that helps :)
Can anyone here tell me the name of the song used in Bosses ?
Because I actually loved it. If you know where it is from, please tell me.
Thank you in advance.
It's from Sakari Infinity. (Don't worry, it's not ripped!! :P)
Lots of lovely pieces of music there made by brilliant composers.

@Lustermx

First of all, thank you for the extremely fast response.
You are really effective in answering your messages.
Can you tell me specifically the name of the song ?
Oh, and I also played your game, it was very easy since I am Master RPG player, and so it gave almost no difficulty to me, though Loki and Mafia towards the end of the game are very challenging if you don't have the Spell Magical Starsign.
With this spell, you can easily win, even if they are the last battles.
I am right now killing the last Spirit to obtain the last Soulstone, which I suppose you need to use in Tyrone Cemetery. I always must have a 100 % completion
in all games that I play. The lack of money resources was also quite challenging but allowed me to get many items, specially in the icy part of Cronif Cave.
Congratulations, it kept me busy for 87 hours ( going to 88 ) and it was a pretty well made game, personally I loved it. And I have to say I absolutely love Fate.
She has my personality even though I am a guy, I saw myself a lot in her.
I am definitely waiting for the sequel of this great game, but I think you should add a little more difficulty in the last Battles of Loki and Mafia. Thank you. ;)
Here it is
And wow, 88 hours? Thasalot! :P
It would seem so that you are indeed an RPG master and I am very pleased that you like Fate. (I also like her very much!)
Exactly, it's this wonderful theme, loved it so much.
Thank you once more.
Yes, your game did deserve it. And remember, for me not all games do.
It is fluid, quite short, but the overall balance is almost perfect.
Yes I do, she is amazing, really is. One of my favorites now.
If someone here needs help in some way, please just ask for it.
I will be more than glad to give strategies or solve problems.
Now, Lustermx, don't keep me waiting too long for the sequel, Ahah.

"It has finally been completed as of 27th April 2013. Estimates would place the total game time at just over 12 hours, but take note that Orbs of Fate is just the first part of an epic duo of RPG games, the second of which will be coming very soon."

OK Luster...enough is enough.
Those are your words and we have not seen the new game yet.
You spend all your time answering silly questions when you could be working on my new game. There are several other players who can answer those questions. Not me of course :( even though I loved Lunar Wish and thought I had done so well.

So, when will we see something of the new game....I'm 68yrs old and can't be waiting another 5yrs. for the new one :) hahahahaha....
