Lunar Wish: Orbs Of Fate is an indie role-playing game developed by LusterMX for the RPG fan community. It provides a unique experience unlike other RPGs in the community and has been made to provide the most complete and fulfilling downloadable gameplay experiences players can enjoy.
One of the elements which set Lunar Wish: Orbs of Fate apart from other games of its genre is that it does not feature a clear main protagonist, despite initial impressions of leading characters. This has been implemented to allow each and every one of the characters to develop and expand at their own pace; the progression of the storyline is also unique in this respect as each of the characters has a significant part to play in the plot. There is no hierarchy within Lunar Wish: each character is considered integral to the overall storyline and gameplay experience. As a result, the game itself is rich in character development and is supplemented by surprising twists and unexpected methods of progression, which are guaranteed to take the player on their own journey of discovery as they play along with the characters. Comedic elements are also continually employed, to give the game its characteristic feel and tone through the character’s voices. While on the surface, Lunar Wish may seem like an innocuous, unexciting RPG, but in reality it does well to subvert the player’s expectations of the standard RPG template.
The gameplay schematic of Lunar Wish was designed to be as simple to understand and play as possible. This was done so that even players who are unfamiliar with the RPG genre could start playing immediately and allow themselves to immerse themselves in the world of Lunar Wish. There are no complex systems to learn and the learning curve is kept minimal as to allow as much of the game to shine through as possible. Skill Trees are used within the game to obtain new skills: this system allows the player to further expand their experience with the game as they progress and become more familiar with the game’s structure. As the characters learn new skills and become more adept in battle, as does the player. The simplistic yet effective system of each character focusing on a different element, tactic and strategy means that battling is always enjoyable without ever being overwhelming.
Lunar Wish is ideally suited to casual gamers, but the prime difficulty level means that there are always new challenges ready to surprise and test the player’s ability to think on their feet. Lunar Wish succeeds in bridging the gap between simplicity and difficulty which is a common problem amongst many games of this genre.
Lunar Wish: Orbs Of Fate has been in development for 5 long gruelling years and is truly a labour of love devoted to members of the RPG fanbase community. It has finally been completed as of 27th April 2013. Estimates would place the total game time at just over 12 hours, but take note that Orbs of Fate is just the first part of an epic duo of RPG games, the second of which will be coming very soon. I hope you enjoy playing Lunar Wish: Orbs of Fate just as much as I enjoyed making and developing it. Happy playing!

Oh, it will definitely be less than 5 years that the sequel will be released!
Almost everyday, I work on it, but I can't estimate when it will be complete...
But you can be assured that I WILL DEFO have it ready sometime in the near (I hope) future!
Lustermx, brilliant job with this game; I have enjoyed many hours of it. I have been wondering if it was okay to use some of the BGM of your game in the game I am making if of course I reference the people that made the music? I am probably already going to reference you anyway for being such an inspiration with this amazing game. I just wanted to check with you if it was alright. I suppose it would be if of course I reference them...Though seeming I am getting it from your game I thought I might ask you. Once again: brilliant job with the game I absolutely love it!
Say what you want for Lunar Wish, but its' nostalgic fun. There are some small visual errors and inconsistencies (the curse of being trained as an artist), it gets quite ridiculous at points, but what do you expect? Its' an RPG maker game so it can take itself seriously at points, and goofy at other points. Lusternx, thanks for making something FUN.
Okay, just as long as you give credit to the rightful composers of the music. (credits are in my credits page) and also, some may be ripped music from actual video games. There's no need to give credit to me X3

And thank you for those kind words; it means a lot :D
Great game. The layout overall is nice and I rly liked all the LoZ sounds ^^
That being said... all my fun dropped when I got to the Boss in the Cavern. A boss that does half hp dmg every turn and 4!!!! Mobs that can give u 300-400 dmg if they use the wrong spell?? Are you fucking serious?
All my Partymembers are trained and have full armor....
Is it just pure luck to survive this fight (by having all 4 monsters spell poison breath) or am I just not seeing something obvious and fundamental?
I play 5 game in rotation atm so I might miss something really big...I hope.
I just completed this game and I have to say that I really enjoyed it, I love the story. :) I also noticed that everyone in the Hall of Fame are around lvl 50 and find that a bit weird considering I completed the game with everyone lvl 23-25 and no deaths. I'll probably re-complete it at some point because I want 100% and because I'll need something to do while waiting for the next part. :P Btw, you should fix the quest where you have to save the 4 kids, I had to restart several times because the 4th one glitched.
I think the high levels mostly come from farming rare ingredients for Fate's ultimate accessory. Good luck with that on your next playthrough.
Don't hate me cause I'm Cute :)
@ Abyssion.... "and because I'll need something to do while waiting for the next part"

So what?? You'll be playing Lunar Wish about 35 times waiting for part two ??? :)
Don't forget, Luster said there is a part two coming...just ain't saying when :(
Just kidding, I'm also waiting for part 2 :) but it's gonna be awhile...
@MallowOkay, just as long as you give credit to the rightful composers of the music. (credits are in my credits page) and also, some may be ripped music from actual video games. There's no need to give credit to me X3

Yay to my delicious late reply! Well Mr. Lustermx you are a great inspiration so it is only natural that I must credit you...Unless my game is bad then it would be bad to credit you...Oh no! I'll have to make sure it is top notch! Thanks for replying.

Hi, I think I found a bug regarding Crazy Gummi
Sorry if this is not the best place to make a report.

It's a really fun game! I really like it.

In game:
I make Fate learn Auto Life so I am revived after Gummi Slam
Usually the dialogue is:

Cindy: "Did we do it?"
Gummmi : Gummi Slam
*Fate party was defeated.

With Autolife:
Cindy: "Did we do it?"
Gummmi : Gummi Slam
Cindy: "UGH..."
Fate: "Does that answers your question?"
**No Fate party was defeated screen
And then the dialogue repeats to the dialogue before they go to bed.
The game froze.

Oh yeah... that happens because you're not supposed to win the fight hence making autolife cause a bug like that.
I'll go and fix it. :P
1.08 Updates:
*General improvements
*Fixed a few typos
*Fixed a glitch where you could not complete the Beach Children side quest
*Fixed a glitch where using Autolife with Fate would cause the Gummi battle to not work
*Fixed a glitch where Larry would stay in prison

And so I've finally updated with some last fixes. Some of these are overdue :P
1.8 wont start, goes black screen then un-full screens and i get this error

it also does not even load the title screen

Oops, I'll have it fixed immediately now. For now I've put the only 1.07 link temporarily.

EDIT: I fixed and am uploading, but all you have to do to fix it is rename that file 'game' as 'Lunar Wish - Orbs of Fate'

EDIT 2: Okay, it's all been fixed now :)
There's some graphical glitches in v1.08 where many tiles aren't what they're supposed to be. Example: http://puu.sh/48is4.png

It happens in other maps, too.
Oh, great.
I'm going to have to put the download version back to 1.07

Yup, I've made it go back to 1.07b for now

That's what Falk and Tash get for eating the mushrooms in the forest.
Great game. I think that some parts of the game should be more challenging. I haven't quite finished the game yet, but there were a couple of places where I thought that it was easier than it should have been to pass. Spoilers below.

Could you make the giant wolf boss harder? I mean, he has a huge frickin meat cleaver. He should put it to more work. I want to feel physical pain in those battles. Can you add some instant KO attacks, or even paralysis? It has the potential to be one of the most exciting battles in the game. One fun idea would be to have him KO your current party and have a couple others join the battle with one of your characters still KO'd.

Likewise with the Loki and puppet battle -- a bit challenging until you get the idea. Add an extra element of frustration where the puppets can give Loki ridiculous buffs (for example, the back puppet uses regeneration on itself. Why not use it on Loki instead?) To make it extra painful, have the puppets explode when they die, mortally wounding one of your characters. I'm sadistic, I know.

Or, you could just continue the Loki battle after you lose Fate and have Tash's special unlock in battle. That being said, I'd rather see the specials unlock during battles where they might become necessary. Why does Nya become a werewolf if she's a catgirl?

This game has been a nice refreshment for RPG lovers. Thanks for your work.

BTW, I don't think that Falk's sprite walks while moving.
Found another bug. When you walk into a certain tile (in the same room where you fight the whisper), you can't get out of it. http://puu.sh/49SAW.png

You're pretty much stuck there until you restart the game.
