Last I heard my favorite Dragon-type Salamence was also considered Uber...
Read the actual Uber tier.

My main team is:
Spheal (Walrien in major competition)
Salamence
Wobbuffet
Cherrim
Shuckle
Typhlosion -OR- Arcanine
Wobbuffet is banned. Seriously, just stop that.
Honestly, I haven't played Pokemon in a bit. For one thing, I get too emotionally attached when I play competitive games for a while. Too often, I psychologically view my performance as a measure of my self-worth. That's not good for my ego. So I spend huge amounts of time away from competitive games so that when I get back into them, I can play them without taking things personally and just have fun.
The other thing is, I have trouble getting motivated to play games when I could be doing something more constructive. And then, I stop playing them and don't feel like starting them up again, out of fear of wasting my time.
I do frequently read what's happening at Smogon so I can stay up to date on things, and also because the average quality of posts there compared to other forums of its level of dedication makes for very fascinating reading material. You should just try to look at what goes on there, and not take it to heart.

Shadowtext, you're completely off about the Uber tier.
Smogon is still refining a definition of Uber that everyone can agree with, but so far the one they've been using is "any pokemon that overcentralizes the game to the point that trends in the metagame are continually dictated by it, causing its usage percentage to increase even during phases in which players have found ways around it." Until they can come to a consensus, though, they're doing the next best thing: a diplomatic vote. Candidates for tier moving, or "suspects", are placed into their own ladder on ShoddyBattle, and players who want to vote for its tiering have to play on the ladder for a predetermined amount of time (usually a few months) and earn the required record/rank. By doing this, they essentially "test" the suspect to see if it's truly worthy of being banned/unbanned. This was the process used to test if the metagame was better without Garchomp, and the people have spoken (for now).
Legendaries are not necessarily Uber - there's just a lot of Legendaries banned because of what they'd do to OU. Most pokemon on the list have proven to have those rare, totally abusable properties that cause the whole metagame to revolve around them. However, the staff is willing to re-test some of them to see if additions to Pokemon Platinum might change this - most notably: Garchomp (yes, this soon), Manaphy, Latios, Latias, and maybe even Ho-oh.
Recently, Deoxys-S was voted to be banned, and we're currently about to see the end of the Shaymin Sky Forme voting phase - a close 56-59 vote for banning (with 3 players still not having voted yet).
You're also wrong about players not playing with banned pokemon competitively, as players have been playing Ubers as a legitimate tier for a while now. They even hold Uber tournaments.
So, to summarize, only Game Freak themselves place a blanket ban on Legendaries. It doesn't work that way in the actual metagame everyone plays.
For anyone who's interested, this is the actual Uber tier:
Arceus, Darkrai, Deoxys, Deoxys-A, Deoxys-D, Deoxys-S, Dialga, Garchomp, Giratina, Groudon, Ho-oh, Kyogre, Latias, Latios, Lugia, Manaphy, Mew, Mewtwo, Palkia, Rayquaza, Wobbuffet
Anything else is OU or lower.

If it isn't a complete game, and it takes more than 30 minutes to download, I'll pass. That said, it doesn't matter what the filesize is; what you should be worrying about is how much traffic goes to your hosting service...
What does it take for you to work on your games?

Another humor critic I'd like to mention (that I think is underrated) is Spoony One (or his site, Spoony Experiment). He doesn't exactly have any kind of angry gimmick setup or fancy film techniques. But he really does take the games quite literally almost as if you could feel his pain as he goes through some really bad games. He has a talented way of speaking and is really fun to listen to.
Spoony is a wierd one. Sometimes he's funny, sometimes he just goes on and on and on and on and on. It makes the good parts feel really awkward. =/
