Barret Wallace: Doin' Thangs!

Somehow, despite how terrible this looks, I am interested. Kudos.

It says it can be a scene from an existing game of yours or newly created as long as it's original and 3-5 minutes :D

The cutscene should be an original scene from an original story.
The cutscene can be at any point within a larger story.
The cutscene should be understandable without seeing the larger story.
The cutscene can use any special features you wish for it, just properly credit for them (graphics/scripts/etc.) You must have the rights to use any materials you put in the cutscene, be they Creative Commons, self created, etc. Copyrighted music or ripped graphics are not legal, and therefore should not be used.
The cutscene should not have battles or other portions with player control with the exception of button presses to continue messages if you use them.

I asked and turns out it can't be something you've previously released.

Hm, can you update and cut a scene out of an existing game or do they need to be newly created? Don't see a directly answer on that.

Got a good laugh out of listening to that podcast!

Thanks for your thoughts on the combat system in particular, hearing people's thoughts gives me some more direction.

We love to hear feedback and just know people are actually playing it.

Prototype 2: Try it out on the Web!

This isn't even a demo, it's more like a tech demo, point is to see what really confuses people WITHOUT instructions, and what (if anything) they enjoyed doing, or really didn't like.

It's still about 80 hours from being considered a demo!

That said, I probably should have said a few things in the above post about how to do it... : )

And then, news flash:

Disappointment Abounds!

Sorry about that!

I played this a bit, the thing I really wanted to be able to do is move turrets once I placed them. If I put one in a dumb place (and this is what a new player will do!) I couldn't move it and just had to deal with it screwing with my physics. I'd say either let the player move/drag turrets around or give them the option to scrap them. Maybe you intended to allow this all along!

I've been debating this back and forth actually; making them move is easy enough, but making a way for the user to move them (since you can only use the left button) is not as easy.

I might have a way to do something like this though, I think I just got an idea.

Thanks for the feedback!

Too bad RM bugs aren't more like physics bugs in games like Skyrim, then it'd almost be more fun to release with them.

Sentence really confused me at first.

Took me a while to recognize that "Baldrik" was a person - I thought it was a race or something at first.

Whatchu Workin' On? Tell us!

Gotta finish a working prototype with enough functionality to get some user feedback on my latest project, trying something new and actually going to suck it up and do real (early and progressive) user testing this time around!
