ARCHEIA_NESSIAH'S PROFILE

Music is not there for the character to hear, but for the player to know the character's mental and emotional state. But unlike with the pain and the physical effort of game characters, experiencing their internal thoughts and feelings by the player is often the intended result. That's the immersion.

Fixed, but what to do?

I would say finish the game but I know your feeling all too well. And I'll be not with the majority here but I'll say since you're still early in the game, do what you want and stick with it. And this time make backups in dropbox :p

Still alive...

It's alive! I was surprised seeing this game appear on my notices~
I wish you the best of luck :D

Just... OMG

Make sure to make backups in dropbox. I spent working on over 6 years for 3 different projects (almost each of them took 3 years to make) and I lost them in HDD crashes :v

EvilEagles Does Blogpost

That explains the awesometastic encouragement I got in Twitter haha. Nice progress so far guys <3

Windows XP(?) credits crash

Problem is that Rm2k3 has a random chance of not working on newer OSes. It's technically...unsupported by now unless it's updated like RM2k Value.

Not being able to judge things based on their own merits is a problem...

As long as the graphics are not actual rips, I don't find their resemblance so objectionable.

I saw that screenshot thinking he was still using rips so I wasn't planning to comment on it. Until someone said it's CUSTOM. I'd comment on it being a blatant rip-off regardless of it was a paid project or not. But I pose no hostility over it. I am concerned however for the creator on how the others will view when I did comment on it.

I don't mind him spending money as I said, since he is free to prove people wrong. But not everyone is judging it based on that it's from his kickstarter. I'm just surprised that it was assumed that the comments towards his screenshot was based on the reaction over this blog.

Critical, yes. "Scathingly" critical, I don't know... It all depends how far things are taken; Now it turns out Sion can't even post a screen in the screenshot topic without people bringing up the issue again.

The issue of what? Spending money on what seems like direct copy of the rips he used without much diversity? :x

ps. I never called him such things but I was worried at how his practice will encourage others AND would bring a bad name to the community because of it. As well as false hope to backers that the game will still have the same quality. He's free to prove me wrong and I'd like to see how he can do it with 5k, but as of now my feedback on the screenshot topic stands.

So...

I will admit that some of the game design choices was pretty meh for me from what I played. For example:

1. Instead of using backgrounds that are from random pixiv artists, I think you should utilize your tilesets instead to emphasize your game's setting for the cutscenes. It does make it ridiculously jarring when I see Mir's stronghold like some wooden cottage with Japanese-unrelated text to it, etc.

2. I am still 50-50 about the node system. But that now is a personal choice.

3. The tutorial overload at the intro, why not just use pictures instead of explaining everything as bullet points or something?

4. I do admit that I liked Gunnar better because he was a coward, now he feels too Kyon-like. It was nice to have a leading lady with twintails and then have the cowardly brother actually have potential and steal the spotlight. But I'm guessing by now that doesn't matter since you have far gone with the game's story.

5. I didn't like that intro where the text and then the two characters on the bridge. The presentation for that one is just way off.
