Just another ex-gaming industry hopeful, going to school and learning as much as I can. I don't think making a game will directly affect my chances of getting a job, but it will teach me the process as well as organization, something I sorely lack. I'm no longer working for Zynga, which is too bad.

What else? I like Japanese food and cinema (but I'm not an otaku), CRPGs (of course), electronic music (90's Industrial FTW), Belgian ales, meat cooked over fire, 420, CGI, 3D animation, cats, SNES, subversive or black comedy, dystopian sci-fi, and any epic fantasy brave enough to step out of the Tolkien shadow.

My dislikes include all forms of bigotry, country music, fast food, factory farms, multinational corporations, warfare, social networking, romantic comedies (in general), and politics.

Lighting is a whole other ball of wax that you'll need to research in order to do correctly. How photons behave, direct/indirect lighting, temperature, incandescence, atmospheric perspective, shadows, illuminated shadows, light balance, the difference between transparency and translucence, etc. There's also how lighting affects the viewer psychologically and conveys mood. Techniques for different setups, such as high-key or low-key lighting (for styles such as film noir). It's something that I l plan on implementing (pre-rendered panoramas ftw), and it can definitely add a new dimension to your work, but bad lighting can break you.

I was meant to work on the final boss too, except they abruptly ceased communications with me for no apparent reason and before I began pixel work for it.

That would freak me out. Did they pay on time?
