Hai-ho! The name's essence.
I like story writing, so my specialism in creating RPGs is the storyline. My back line specialties are on average; Graphic Design, Sprite Editing / Refurbishing, Mapping and Animation.

Also, trying to find help with mapping and spriting, but no luck. I have the worst luck when it comes to that ;_;
What do you mean? Tutorials, or just someone to help you edit sprites or something?

There's a very short tutorial that comes with the program.
This.
The tutorial Cherry provides you with about how to script the message box, and then the status effect system is the brimstone of everything to me. I'm already starting to learn the basis of callbacks and even edit certain interfaces to the menu, but not add anything (yet).
I think it's just down to the fact that I got really bored, made myself some tea and thought, right. Let's do this thing.
Downloaded the Code::Block program and huzzah. I can't say it's easy, but I'm enjoying it thus far. Maybe once I get out of being an omni-noob to this I'll help others who are beginning, but until then, the best place it start is those two tutorials Cherry demonstrates.

@EssenceBlade
Thank you for organizing them all. Great compilation here.
No problem at all. Just doing my part.

I have another compilation of things this time - voices. I recently let my friend have an alpha version of my project, and she wondered "How'd you get your characters to say things when they hit, dynamically?". I replied: "Sounds, and conditional branches". It then hit me that not too many people had voices in their projects. I found this voice pack awhile ago and again, had it on my hard drive. So I'm hosting it. Enjoy.

Well, after about 3 days of looking confused at C++, and using heavy trial and error, I'm going to try and make a plugin which adjusts the default battle interface. I can't guarantee it'll be completed. So it's nothing special, I just don't like the way the "Arrows" in battle are so high up from my characters.
Show Picture Problems
The problem is you have "The Origin" set to Center. Make sure its set to upper left. Make sure the "Opacity" is set to 255, also set the X - Y Co-Ordinates closer to 160-190
Campfires...
Verincia, you're talking about the fire animation.
You mean a glow as in. The artificial one? The surrounding glow? Well, seeing as I'm not an avid XP user, I'd recommend a script. If not a script, then a picture which has an orange or yellow transparency to it covering over the fire graphic.

Reading all this is prompting me into learning C++ too. But it's no kitty walk. I can give you that, but perhaps as a beginner I can read the resource code given with the program, and add my own stuff with trail / error using a base decoy project. I might have to mess around with a bit of the stuff.
Say, DHM, do you know where the base Dynrpg coding for your project in general is?

Statuses
Adjusted a few statuses ideas I recently posted.
"Third Eye" - Slightly enhances accuracy and allows you to anticipate and evade the next attack. As long as it is not a spell or magical-attribute influenced attack.
"Channeled Mana" - Allows you to cast magic with HP instead of MP.
"Mana Wall" - Allows you to take damage with MP. Magic Defence is slightly enhanced.
"Dazzle" - Switches the roles on HP and MP.
"Alacrity" - Decreases casting speed (Or lowers MP cost) at the cost of spell strength.
"Ebullience" - Increases casting speed (Or heightens MP cost) but allows the caster to produce more force with magic.
"Amnesia" - Player forgets all their skills, spells, and abilities, but remembers traits.
"Mind Leak" - Player loses MP upon being damaged.
"Bust" - Prevents the player from being able to receive any positive status effects. If they do receive beneficial effects, it turns into the opposite.
"Encumbered" - Player loses any beneficial stats from equipment they're wearing.
"Rapid Feet" - Player moves around faster on the map, as well as an increased flee rate.
"Weighted" - Player suffers a decreased movement speed on the map, as well as a decreased flee rate.
"Painless Pain" - Damage dealt to a target will be subtracted from their maximum HP, and then their maximum HP will remain the answer.
"Third Eye" - Slightly enhances accuracy and allows you to anticipate and evade the next attack. As long as it is not a spell or magical-attribute influenced attack.
- If your class is say, Assassin, Ninja, Bushin or something, you also have a chance to counter attack.
"Channeled Mana" - Allows you to cast magic with HP instead of MP.
- You will still take damage with HP.
"Mana Wall" - Allows you to take damage with MP. Magic Defence is slightly enhanced.
"Dazzle" - Switches the roles on HP and MP.
- HP is used as MP, and MP is used as HP
"Alacrity" - Decreases casting speed (Or lowers MP cost) at the cost of spell strength.
"Ebullience" - Increases casting speed (Or heightens MP cost) but allows the caster to produce more force with magic.
"Amnesia" - Player forgets all their skills, spells, and abilities, but remembers traits.
- All abilities would be shaded in black and targets could only defend.
"Mind Leak" - Player loses MP upon being damaged.
- Could be calculated by a mathematical formula, or set as a specific value depending on potency.
"Bust" - Prevents the player from being able to receive any positive status effects. If they do receive beneficial effects, it turns into the opposite.
- Example Regeneration becomes Intoxication.
- Protect becomes Defence Down.
"Encumbered" - Player loses any beneficial stats from equipment they're wearing.
- While under this effect, all hits also have a chance to strip the target of their equipment.
"Rapid Feet" - Player moves around faster on the map, as well as an increased flee rate.
- Example; A Rogue using "Rapid Escape" from battle, gain a momentary speed increase and heightened
flee chance if the status is still carried on over into another battle.
"Weighted" - Player suffers a decreased movement speed on the map, as well as a decreased flee rate.
- Example; Getting hit by sludge decreases the movement speed of your sprite on the map, and lowers your chance to flee.
"Painless Pain" - Damage dealt to a target will be subtracted from their maximum HP, and then their maximum HP will remain the answer.
- Example; A player has 500/500 HP. Getting hit for 130 woul reduce their HP to 370/500 generally, but in Painless Pain's case, it will become 370/370 and so on.
- Once the player dies, upon revival they have 1/1 HP until treated.
- If healed before death, their maximum HP will return to its former state.
FSM battle characters
No problem at all! I went and posted that file, and all the other ones I had stored up in the Resource Museum too. You may find some valuable stuff like charsets there. A select few I also created myself. :D

Just thought I'd post a massive set of 2k3 FSM stuff. I had these on my computer's hard drive for some time. They're getting harder to come by so I'm going to post them here in hope that they'll be engraved. There's lots of FSM stuff you'll find hanging around in these files. There's a TON of stuff. Some which you might not have found via any FSM resource hosting website.
