I can't find Shade's mother at the beginning of the game. I've been all over the forest, but to no avail.

Head to the 4-way junction. If you Fly, you'll see stars near the pond.

Middens Review

Perhaps you should get off your high horse and understand not everyone enjoys pretentious, gratuitous "art games." No need to start attacking people because they've rated your featured "game" below 3 stars. :)

Finally working on the actual game. First cutscene in-work.

OFF Review

What.

If you've based even a little of your overall score simply on the fact that the game doesn't cater towards your own disabilities and lack of self-esteem, then for shame. And trigger warnings? Seriously? You're making this game out to be a lot worse in those subjects than they actually are. Off is very subtle with a lot of its subjects and it isn't like it shows you graphic images of said murders/death.

Also, the flash before battles is present in literally every RPG Maker game made in 2003 and below I believe.

nah VN was for the most part easy compared to this. tho that may be because in my case anyway i was playing on battle easy because i like games with these engines for the story more then a challenge

the ai companion is defiantly the problem, sure you can switch thru her but you should be attacking the enemy and being behind her when you can hit her is not a good idea
when theres multiple enemies in a a room sometimes the 2nd will manage to get behind the 1st thus cancel the knock back

thus leading to you possibly attacking her instead, ive tried running by enemies but some of the same type even are faster making that harder to impossible even to run by w/o taking damage

When you come across those situations where enemies can stack, which shouldn't be that many, you going faster than Valerie could perhaps be handy. You can potentially get her stuck someplace. Usually turning a corner or rounding a prop would accomplish this.

I'll probably wind up adding a difficulty slider to the game like VL and doing some other fixes. This is the one game I haven't touched since its release, so it's probably for the best..

ok....30+ minutes of this and i HATE IT

1st the mapping is different in the same areas as in VN which makes no sense
adding the ending figuring out how they both meet each other t there own homes :/(which is it!?)
but whats driving me crazy here is the difficulty!
same game except...we have valerie...which at this point is a killing machine or should be anyway :/
instead she follows you close as possible at a slow pace
and the worst part is you can HIT HER and KILL HER!
why is this possible!?
add to that you character doing a 180 when hit thus aiming right at her and you will be killing her more then you would of died in her own game!

im so upset by this outrage i may not be able to finish this
i lost so many heals cuz of this bs
i almost forgot to mention the extreme lack of saving!
1 room can easily screw you yet you have to go thru a fair amount b4 you can save again because for no reason you get denied the ability to back track to a save point!

How you are having such a hard time with this is mind-boggling to me since you've beaten Valerie's Letter. The AI companion might be to blame, but what you typed down shows me that you might've gotten hit ALOT in Valerie's Letter and it is not difficult avoiding this.

Seriously. There can literally be almost a WHOLE TILE in between you and the enemy for you to hit him unlike in Death Proclaimed 1 where you have to run into the enemy while swinging. He does NOT have to be right in front of you in these next two games. If you are stuck in a tight corridor, press the action button on Valerie to swap places and just run out and run back in to try again.

hmm i swear a few times in the game it said leah was a girl, the end of the walkthru refers to her as a guy tho.

when could you optionally use the lethal injection in a boss fight? it was never mentioned

"Him" refers to the devil. Also when you are in front of Leah just use it from the menu.

Glasses, those are wonderful death effects! I cannot wait to see what else you have planned, the horizontal collapse was already wonderful!

I agree. Those are pretty nice looking and definitely makes the DBS more fresh.

2014 Misaos - The VOTENING

author=NeverSilent
Take a look at last year's Misaos and find yourself proven wrong. The most popular RPG Maker game of all time winning in only two categories speaks volumes about how "broken" the Misaos really are.

I don't even care what won. The simple prospect that rabid fantards will huddle and vote the shit out of a game in a category it shouldn't be in is enough for me to disagree with this entire Misao concept.

In the end it's nothing worth bitching about, but I couldn't keep quiet this time around.

We're getting closer to completing basic AI coding for Ruby Quest Undertow.

While that's getting done, I'm working on some sprites for Tomcat.
