Ever since I played this game many years ago, I've been enamored by some of the music used. I'm familiar with lots of game music, but there are a couple of tracks that I can't pinpoint the source.

You named them "Shadar" and "Orion Necros" in your music folder. Could you please let me know where you got these tracks from?

Sorry dude, it's been so long I don't even remember.

Try looking at the song's preferences; sometimes you can find some info in there. I might have gotten them from some free japanese midi site.

Do you know how to get to Orion's cave? I can't find it and it seems I'm stuck. Thanks.

It's been awhile, but try going to the lower right of the town you're in. I believe it's behind a tree.

Shadows of Adam Review

because game development is a linear progression down a single path. Any game deviating from the path I perceive to be the ideal is considered abhorrent.

I never... said or even implied that but OK?

Besides, "abhorrent" is really too strong of a word to use for something as inoffensive and safe as Shadows of Adam.

Going indie affords developers a great freedom to do what they want; and I feel this freedom and the development team's talent is squandered by just making another by the numbers RPG with shallow character development.

Hey Erave, were you guys trying for a "retro" feel to the dialogue and story, to go along with the retro graphics and music? I have to imagine the simplicity was intentional, rather than an oversight.
The whole design tenant of the game was "Simple, done well." We aimed for likable characters and a coherent and easy to follow story. As the game progresses, the plot will deepen and some twists will occur, but we definitely focused on the game having a lot of clarity.

In a genre that's already stagnating I'm don't think this is a great way to go about things, but at least this explains how we go from "The Way" to... this.

Does anyone remember GamingGroundZero? (Remembering GamingGroundZero)

I try every day to forget.

I want to LP lesser known but quality amateur games; any recs?

Pick from the pool of featured games. Nothing here is really well known.

Alter Aila Genesis
Dhux's Scar
Balmung Cycle

A lot of people seem to like my own game, Phantom Legacy so you might want to give that a look.

I'm not sure if anyone has made anything worth playing in MV, but if there is I'd really like to hear about it.

Phantom Legacy (Redux)

I didnt expect that JoJo reference at the end but it was the icing on top of the cake for such a good game.

I particularly enjoyed the battle system as it meant that you spent less time grinding and actually had more time to enjoy the story.

The battle mechanics are unique and thats what makes them so enjoyable. Different characters rely on magic attacks alone and it keeps you on your toes managing MP for their abilities.

All in all this game was a great experience for me and I can honestly say that this was one of the best RPGs that I have ever played.

Thanks! It makes me happy to see people still download and enjoy the game so long after it was made.
