Thanks for the offer Greg, however I feel my knowledge of 2K3 is good enough for me to figure it out on my own. The sub-cms for my game is set using a different map and tilesets, I've learned a lot since I first started work on it. I mean a whole bunch.

While things like the weapon menu screen would still be done using a tileset. Your screenshot gave me the idea to use pictures for everything else.

Either way your game looks pretty nifty.

What are you jamming to?

Had an awesome dream which will eventually be turned into a game.

I was lucky. normally I can never remember my dreams from the night previous, and if I do it's a sensation I felt during that dream, or a small snippet.

Had an awesome dream which will eventually be turned into a game.

The dream I had was a bunch of teenagers in a cyberpunk setting. Almost like I was playing a video game myself, and when I woke up. I wrote everything down I could remember (which was pretty much all of it.)

When I dream something that I plan to turn into a game, the dream itself is normally played out like a video game. It was the same for Steel Spirit SaGa.

That does look pretty sweet, I'm assuming you'll use pictures for the menu? It made me wonder if I could use pictures for the sub-cms I'm using...

How do you go about creating a game?

I get an initial idea that can be summed up in one sentence, and build the game around that.

Whatchu Workin' On? Tell us!

I've picked up work on my game again, and when I was writing, accidentally introduced a character that wasn't on the initial roster, so I squealed with glee at the thought of creating new characters. (the battle sprites are rips/edits of FF Record Keeper sprites.) And when it came time to editing them. I took one look at the sprite sheets and thought "I can't do this" and got real dejected, but then the other day I took another look at them and thought "No, I will do this I might be able to pull it off." and thus managed to change

It's a little rough around the edges, but with a bit more TLC I reckon It'll look half way to decent.

What are you thinking about? (game development edition)

Having a huge roster of characters can be daunting, the only RPG Maker game I've seen that can pull it off was Legion Saga, anyone remember that?

I've got about 20 characters for my game, but some of them are specific to only one scenario, and some of them have little screen time. I feel that's my way of dealing with trying to have a lot of characters.

Because I love Dark Souls so much. Solaire has a cameo in Steel Spirit SaGa.

Well, truth be told. I was fucking around while spriting, and made a sprite that looked a lot like Solaire so I thought to myself "I could go with this."

For game creators here: How did you get your start on how are you now?

An old friend of mine said to me "look what I downloaded today" And showed me like, five minutes of RM2K, and I said to myself "I want that" So I downloaded it, you're easily talking 2003/4, and now I'm still using 2K3 (the official version, though)
