The Level/HP/MP are purely to give the menu an RPG feel, as this is a group of heroes on a quest to save the world. Time permitting, HP/MP will change based on events in the story, but again, that's just a fun little thing we want to add.
The stories are fairly linear and there's no "assign your daily tasks" aspect at all.

Re:re: the sliding puzzle's difficulty. It's really going to come down to the individual. I found it easy, but then again, I always enjoyed sliding puzzles as a kid so I have a general technique I follow. Having some way to see the completed puzzle might help people though if you're looking for a way to ease it up a tiny bit.

And yes, 54k is indeed a lot of words. Probably part of why the writing that was supposed to take a month took over two. It's okay though, because we had allotted over a month's time for "sitting around waiting for the release date."

Brief comments after giving it a go:
I'm pretty sure that's not the tiniest demo to have ever demo'd, haha. But I was enjoying myself, so I was pleasantly surprised there was more to it than I was expecting. I was really impressed with the ship minigame. It ran really well, and the difficulty sure spiked! I'm looking forward to see what else the game has in store later.
One small note that the balance level of the audio was all over the place. I had to drop my volume to a third for that monstrously loud sliding puzzle >.>

Oh no, you made me think of the Rhythm Heaven interview for a moment with that question.
We've been working on a secret project that's due to be out in a few more weeks, so I'll probably end up sharing something. A bunch of artwork/screenshots most likely. :3 Seems like decent enough timing.
