The trouble with screenshots being outsourced like that (even for just a few people) is the potential for things to be lost over time. You can see it at older sites that don't host screenshots themselves but have users use imageshack, photobucket, etc. If Imgur goes down at any point in the next 10 years (feasible) all is lost (and that is a legitimate time frame to look at in these things).
Then RMN could download those screenshot to its own screenshot server.
@ankylo: I'd be glad to help if I'd know libcurl better... Though if you install wget on your server, I could wipe up python script that would download album from imgur (first downloading html file of album, then downloading images (after parsing html file). Kinda like Getleft or Teleport pro works).

For this I think you'll need to also develop RGSS (for all RGSS versions) scripts and DynRPG plugin for 2k3 if you expect people to actually use it in their games.

Poland. But here police rarely do anything and it is safe country for filesharers. But in U.S. some murderers (especially in states without death penalty) get out after just few years in prison (parole) whereas filesharers often get like 15-20 years without possibility of parole. For more scandals like that visit torrentfreak.com. Great site that actually expose MAFIAA.

It depends. IMO filesharing for personal/hobby use should be allowed, but I draw the line when it comes to commercial/business use.
Take RPG Maker for example. I have absolutely no problem with people making games using pirated RM, "borrowed" sprites and audio, but I'd be absolutely angry if e.g. someone would try to sell game made with pirated version of RM. If you going to get money from it, buy the damn license! Same thing with e.g. shop owner playing in his shop music. He/she should get proper license for said music because he is benefiting from it commercially.
Unfortunately law always take insane route.
Filesharing by most legal system is more serious crime that such "minor" offences like
- Rape
- Murder
- Actual theft (where original owner doesn't have thing anymore, CTRL+C, then CTRL+V IS NOT CTRL+X, then CTRL+V for devil's sake!)
- Stalking
- Mobbing

First game I actually bought was Minecraft (Beta 1.7.3). But why I bought it? Because I played pirated version first (the only "demo" at the time was MC Classic which is crap). When I saw those pigs and sheeps walking around, I KNEW I have to buy it.
A Valley Without Wind... Well, I actually pirated it in first place, but quickly uninstalled as it was so good game that I felt actually guilty for not paying its creation (second AVWW isn't so good, for once they removed free 360 aim. Bad idea). Now I bought it along HIB so I can play it to my pleasure.
Terraria? Same deal, though I didn't feel as guilty for not paying for it and bought it only to get access to mods and because of Terraria 1.2.
Today I bought Space Engineers. Guess which version I played first?
If anything, this only make me buy games that are actually good. Only crappy game developers (*cough*WarZ*cough*Colonial Marines*cough*) will lose money because of me.

Best RM Games With Only Default Resources?
I don't get issue presented in first post (people being tired of default Ace windowskin). While I usually grown tired of RTP used in previous makers, I have yet to get tired of Ace's RTP even though I am working on Ace RTP game (with some flavour like Celianna's and Ayene's tiles, though). It's just that good (I have slight problem with chibi chars and resolution, but chars can be replaced and resolution can be changed to much saner 640x480).
Back to the topic, I could mention few RPGs that run almost on default resources (usually only difference being few different characters, but in line with RTP style), but all those are Polish games for which I don't think there's translation available so it's probably not relevant.
Anyway, here you go:
- Czasoprzestrzeń (it's a trilogy, done in rm2k with rtp)
- Opowieści z Asgun (VX)
- Kruk (VX)
Last two uses some non-rtp resources, but it's mostly just music.

Few of this games are already on RMN, I believe. I know I've downloaded Stupidest Game Ever Re-duh (2lazy to write whole title) and I believe Dragon Destiny is here as well. It would be good to do quick search to see if that game you're looking for is already on RMN.

Autotiles are way more versatile than single tiles, I don't see how it's even possible to be upset about them. That's like being upset that there's more than one layer.
Actually I think issue is more of freaky autotile format (how the hell am I supposed to learn which part of autotile does what? And no, that "anatomy of autotile" article doesn't help, only make things more confusing). XP's and 2k3's autotile format was saner and easier to make tiles for than this abomination. This is about only thing that I don't like about Ace. IMO Ace and "regular" VX got best RTP I've seen. I have yet to be tired by it, where I got tired of RTP of earlier makers just after playing few games made using RTP. Maybe it's that "painty" style, like graphics were painted, I dunno.

If Rhythos is free, does all the things 2k3 can do (including sidescroll battles, and mp3/avi support), and can support DynRPG, then maybe. Otherwise, you have to work with Ruby code, which sucks because I don't understand it.
Wouldn't count for Rhythos at this point - IMO best bet is Open RPG Maker now (on which forums I am your friendly moderator).
