[VX Ace]Khas' Pathfinder: How to detect if event finished movement

How can I check if event had got to end of the path using Khas' pathfinder? I'm using it along with proximity detection script to implement stealth mechanic in my game and after reaching end of path I want them to start battle using default battle system. However I don't know how to detect if event reached end of the path. Any help?

VX Ace: Is the VL Gothic Font an Eyesore?

author=Mr_Detective
I might be alone on this one, but I find the default font to be easy on the eye, and simple enough to work. Some custom fonts I've seen are really painful to look at, so I still prefer the default one, at least for now. :P

This. Font used in game's messages NEEDS to be clear. Often "fancy" fonts are hardly readable and in some cases they put unnecessary eyestrain. VL Gothic is "transparent" in this manner. You don't notice font, you notice text that is written using it. And that what's important.

Note that I'm not against "fancy" fonts on things like title screen or in pictures, but font used for menus and messages MUST be readable. Less fancy, the better.

Converting 2k3 tilesets, to VX?

If you want HQ tiles that look like 2k3 RTP, send some chipsets my way. I am kinda bored lately so could remade those into VX tiles (except autotiles, I have no freaking idea how they work and yes, I read that anatomy of autotile thing, it only left me more confused that I was already).

The point is, that I'll repixel them into 32x32 so they will have that 2k3 feel to it without being pixelated.

//edit: Here's small demo:

At the left, there is 2k3 version (16x16), at the right there's my remade version. Both are from building.png chipset bundled with RM 2k3. Keep in mind that those were done in like 30 minutes, so they are kinda messy (especially the palm), when I'll do actual work, I will spend more time on it.

Advice fir craetibg a costom menu for 2K3

Displaying numbers? Pictures and modulo. Only way without using patches like DynRPG.

Why first grade to 12th is completely useless, including parts of college ..

Skip all your schooling and survive with only a kindergarten education, using this one weird trick discovered by a mom

Some kids did. Just google "wild children" (w/out quotes). They might not be socially appealing afterwards, but yeah, they did survive and some are living to this day.

Depends on the teachers, I guess. Some encourage creative thinking (unfortunately it is rare exception rather than a rule, as it should be - I only had 3 of those and only because I was moving much). With such teacher you are done with the program in few months (less than school year) and for rest, depending on the teacher you are either learning "extra" things or spend time on things unrelated to class' subject.

Unfortunately, more often you need to memorize stuff, here in Poland we have that nice shortcut for it: Zzz. Zakuj (memorize). Zdaj (pass). Zapomnij (forget).

Seriously, in most cases you don't remember what the exam was about, ESPECIALLY if you don't like subject.

Ah, okay. For your consideration, when you'll be doing it, how about user being able to suply grayscale heightmap, the size of game map (in pixels, not in tiles) so your plugin would use it to "extrude" terrain according to it. If no heghtmap would be provided, flat map, like here, would be assumed.

Abandoning Features That You Can't Get to Work?

Sometimes you can make bugs into features. Rocket jumping and strafe running were originally glitches in Quake's coding. Now they are more or less mandatory FPS features.

What I want to say is: Before nixing "not working" (the way you want them) features, think if you could work those into your design other way.

Been working on a game for years, haven't given up.

My game, which some of you may have seen in some lower-profile RM sites (well, lower profile than RMN, rhat is!) is entering second year of development. I don't have any good reason for it other than forgetting about it for 2 or 3 months, then distracting with other projects for some amount of time (even now my project is secondary one to project I plan to sell as "Darkhog", my other Internet name).

So yes, I don't have any particularly good reason for postponing development.

Could you, after finishing this one, develop similar extension that would use OpenGL for rendering? Almost any GPU support it nowadays and it isn't so any particularly high version of OGL would be needed - even OpenGL 1.1 would be enough, maybe even 1.0.
