That is all.

I also use the name PizzaTheFace for just about everything besides Youtube and RMN. That one was spawned purple because I thought it was funny.

[Poll] Game Industry & You

I want to be a "professional" indie game developer. If you can even call something like that being a pro. But yeah, I do want to make a living doing this.

What is your mindset as a game designer?

I dcevelop games to have fun, as does my partner, matrixmancs. That's one of the major reasons I do this- because it's fun to be creative, it's fun as hell to just write stories and make them come to life. If I didn't enjoy it I couldn't put so much effort into it.

What made you want to work with Game Design?

I think I got interested in it after I watched my older cousin play Final Fantasy 7, and after I played it for the first time. I just thought it was amazing. I'd stare at the pre-rendered backgrounds in a trance, just wondering what went on in those worlds, and how they came to life so beautifully. It was at that point that I realized I could probably become a developer myself, and I began to write Neo Lescia for the first time (at age 7). My cousin told me about RPG Maker 3, and I've been using them ever since I picked it up.

Things spiraled out of control from that point on, as I begged my parents for tons of systems and games, and eventually worked for my own money to fund a large collection of just about every genre. I met my current friends, we began LANing, and then me and matrixmancs began the small indie group known as Faultware, which is where we stand today.

Free/Costly?

This really depends on the game, the time and effort that went into it, and your feelings as a developer. Even when me and matrix make our big commercial titles I still plan to make VXA games and release them for free around here. I can't just let all the hundreds of ideas I have die. It's too much fun to create them.

I'm about to be picked up for a day trip, so I have to get cut short. I look forward to reading other users responses.

A Dane at the table!

Hey, welcome to the community. Don't worry if your custom work isn't starting off well, just keep at it. You'll get the hang of things eventually.

Not only does Nightowl know full well how to operate pants, he was in fact the inventor of Blue Jeans.

what scares you the most?

Death is the first thing that comes to mind. Being that I don't follow any particular religion and generally assume that God doesn't exist, I don't have that safety net of thinking I'll go to some happy wonderland when I croak. It's hard, as a consciousness, to grasp what it would be like to suddenly cease to exist.

The other big ones are getting sick (since I am a hypchondriac) and hospital equipment/hospitals themselves/medical smells. This can prove to be a fairly shitty combination at the best of times.

One last thing is that I get really uncomfortable at the sight of large amounts of blood. I guess everybody does, really, since that's a sensible thing to dislike. It's not my own blood or the blood of others though, or even heavy bleeding, there would have to be giant vats full of blood for me to get uncomfortable. (As an example: One episode of Bizarre Foods showcases a bloodcake producing kitchen. There are big tanks of cow blood everywhere. Nope.)

Care to explain what you were doing on the Grassy Knoll, LockeZ?

EDIT: Why must I always get beaten to punch with LockeZ

Earthbound for Wii U Virtual Console

Having Earthbound on Wii U is a good way to make up for that awful looking Zelda title. Still need to wait for the Wii U to drop in price significantly though, like hell I'm paying launch price for it.

LockeZ is a member of the Illuminati, chiefly responsible for writing the Voynich Manuscript (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Voynich_manuscript)

WHAT DOES IT MEAN, LOCKEZ? WHAT DOES IT MEAN???

If you can guess which game this is from, I'll love ya~ ;3

The only thing I enjoy emulating is SNES, and I rarely even do that since I own the actual console. I've tried to use PS1 emulators before... Frankly it seems easier to just hunt down the actual discs.

So my event sheet was going pretty well until the program stop working and didn't save any progress... Fuck.

I once had an almost completed project flat out stop working whenever I added anything new to the database. This was largely influential in my decision to stop using RM2k3 forever.

RM can be difficult to deal with- a lot of the time (mainly if you're using an old engine) you can just get cheated out of progress.
