-3 A random player character starts dancing and making a scene. For one round all enemy attacks are directed at this particular character and the character can take no action during this turn because of the deep urge to dance and express oneself.
+/-? A random party member and a random enemy start struggling in an epic battle of Rock Paper Scissors, The loser flees the battle.
0 (50% chance if the result is 0) the battle background changes into a new random battle background (alternatively there could be other fun visual effects such as stars or flowers or hearts covering the screen).

[Community] Christmas Card
True that, something that begins with N that describes an area people live in. Neighbourhood was the first thing that popped into my head but there has to be something better than that.

Just curious on the progress of this?
It is progressing slowly like everything I do. If things go according to plan I'd be able to release a first episode in December.

town mame suggestion:
River Mountain Neighbourhood.
Somehow I just think the initials of the town should be RMN.

Twilight 2......Anybody going to see it?
I promised my sister I'd go watch New Moon if she went and saw District 9 and Inlgourious Basterds.
She didn't.
So now I don't have to.
Of course I'll watch a DVD rip of it so that I can constructively laugh at people who like the film rather than talk about something I've not watched.
I like vampires a lot though. Which is why Twilight upsets me a great deal. Though I think I might be a bit obsessed with Twilight ever since I found out my sister likes it (she cannot give me any comprehensible reasons why it's good either). I evendid a quick re-edit of the New Moon trailer to show how much better a trailer it could have been if it just wasn't so goddamn talky. I'm a sad person. I actually spent an hour on that I think...
Now let's hope Werewolves are next in line for the boom.

A topic about driving.
A topic about driving.
Do you drive? If yes, are you a good driver? If no, why not?
I drive, I'm not overly good though. I tend to say that I drive like a woman. A bit overly cautiously and things like that.
-What car do you have? Post pictures if you have any.
I have a Renault Twingo. A light green one. I think it's either from 1994 or 1996. I don't know much about cars really.
It looks very much like this one:
http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/e/e4/Ren@ult_twingo.JPG
(though perhaps dirtier and with a bit lighter green)
-Had any accidents or has anything bad or funny happened to you?
I've only been in very small accidents. That is I've reversed into street signs and rocks and ditches... And I spun off the road once.
-Were you or are you lucky enough to have parents that will paid for your lessons?
Yeah. Driving lessons were my 18th birthday present I think. In Finland you don't get to drive before you're 18 and you have to take about two months of lessons before being able to take the test.
When I had my first lesson I actually had no idea how a car really worked. The whole shifting gears was an alien concept to me and it actually took me quite some time before I understood all the things about it. (Like the fact that if you don't have a gear in you don't actually have to hold the clutch down and can just let the car sit there... Yes... It's dumb but come on, no one told me this)
Before the car I had never driven any kind of motor-driven vehicle.
-How many times did it take you to pass?
I passed both the exams at the first try. Fortunately. I think part of it was that the instructor and I were both happy that Finland had won an important hockey game the day before...
I sort of like driving. Sometimes when I have time (and fuel in the tank) I tend to take strange alternate routes and see where I end up. Similar to when I bike or walk except at a different scale. I really like driving as alone as possible. Whenever there's two more cars than mine around I get itchy and can't enjoy driving the same way.
For a couple of summers I dealt out morning papers in the rural areas and that was great fun driving around alone on the road putting newspapers in boxes that were a couple of kilometers apart on gravel roads. (and driving one of the postal cars with the steering wheel on the "wrong side" was my first enounter with automatic gear shifting too. And that was weird for a while until I got used to it)
But those damn hares always running in front of the car. In the end I decided to fuck it and not slow down for them if they have a death wish let them have it.

Shinan's Interview Series
Glad to see that there's interest to listen though is there anyone who wants to volunteer for 2)?
Also does anyone have suggestions for gamemakers I just have to interview?

Don't mind me, just watching movies
post=106302Kopps... :D :D
I guess I can understand since you're POV is on a swedish side. What are some good swedish movies though?
EDIT:
oh and Smala Sussie
Perhaps not the best examples in the end but I remember enjoying both immensly.
Side Quests: Why?
I'm all for side quests. Since I'm one of those western/tabletop RPGers my ideal is that the player should be able to choose what he wants or doesn't want to do. So I don't like the idea of forcing a main quest down someone's throat. Instead in true tabletop fashion slowly lure them into doing what you want them to do.
Say the main quest is that the bad guy needs to be defea... uh... encountered. So through different quests you first find out about the bad guy. Then perhaps meet a minion or two of the bad guy's (meetings that may or may not result in violence depending on previous choices) to finally encounter the main bad guy and deal with him the way you see fit. (usually in a boss battle but sometimes in an offer to "together we can rule the galaxy...")
Of course over the course of the game you meet people that have their own opinions of the bad guy and that may influence your decisions about the bad guy later on. And all of this is really just a bunch of "side quests" in the sense that "everything is optional. You pick your path."
This is of course the ideal. The end result is always something quite different.
