Also, playing this.
*Epic video*

If I was drinking coffee, I would probably spill it because of that video, made me smile :D Epic sound effects :D Is that some mod?
What do you think about the game? I kinda like it even with it's many flaws and repetitivness, but many people seem to disagree...

Diablo 3 "vs" Torchlight 2

After checking some info about Torchlight 2, I'm kinda looking forward to it more than Diablo 3, even though I loved D2 and hated Torchlight 1....

Even though it will have lower production values (and will cost less), it will at least have all I want from an ARPG game.... Tons of loot (GOOD LOOKING loot, big plus compared to Torchlight 1), many builds to build, and above all, OFFLINE singleplayer, and offline/online full modding support. Unlike D3, where Blizzard just sent a big "FOCK YO" to all the players without decent and stable internet connection, and to all the people who like modding the game (which increased the replayability and prolonged the life of both Torchlight 1 and Diablo 2, a LOT). Not to mention all the other crap they are pulling off with D3... ("..we are discouraging solo play..", focus on PvP, less control about your own character growth, more of an MMORPG than an ARPG, real money AH...)

Few months ago, I thought I would preorder D3 and ignore T2 , but right now, I feel like I will definitely get T2, and MIGHT not even get D3.

Any other ARPG fans feel something similar? I know that D3 will be THE game (with the amount of polish Blizzard can provide), but the more info they release about the game, the less I want to play the game/support the developers...

Put a few hours into Final Fantasy Tactics Advance, like the gameplay, like the job system, quite a few ways to build up my team. The story and "childish" graphics don't bother me, although they could have added some female classes for other races then Viera (for example M/F version of all the jobs), but that's only a minor complaint. Also the UI for checking abilities and weapons is kinda clunky, but that's a limitation of the GBA interface I guess. It looks like this is a big game too, I always wonder how the games on earlier consoles had such huge amounts of content, compared to today's "lots of polygons, less of everything else" style of games.

And Minecraft version 1.8 should be released today, if it is, I am so starting a new world and playing this game again for a while.

Been trying out Dead Island.

Many reviewers seem to not like it too much, but I don't see why. Though unlike most times, IGN video review was spot-on this time. This game is great. There is nothing more satisfying than smashing a zombie skull with a steel pipe or slicing off arms and legs, all in first-person view. Kinda feels like Oblivion meets Fallout 3 meets Borderlands meets Left 4 Dead, only with less depth and more zombies. And who doesn't like to kill zombies. I also like how the weapons get damaged, you can see the damage, and have to constantly look for new ones/repair some good ones.

I find myself charging up to a zombie, jumping in the air, kicking him in flight and then slicing his head off when he's lying on the ground.

Very cool game, and kinda relaxing, in a disturbing kind of way :D

Just finished Legend of Heroes: Trails in the Sky on PSP.
Just in time for me to play some Disgaea 4. :D

Damn America and the fact that they get such releases almost month sooner than EU :/

Do you kill bugs?

author=Zephyr
Reminds me when I was 13/14 years old and we got an orienteering assignment in school. Someone in my team must have stepped on a hornet nest cause we were suddenly swarmed by hornets. They were all over our freaking clothes! Luckily enough non of us was stung. They must have been lazy due to being autumn or something.

Talk about lucky :D

Also, dunno why, but this thread reminded me of this video:

I know it's not only insects, but still, I live in central Europe, and I can't imagine being on one continent with such "lovely" creatures. The spiders there especially. Anyone here from Australia?

Do you kill bugs?

I used to burn insects with a magnifying glass when I was little, still kinda feel bad about it...

Anyways, I generally try to let the insects out, got nothing against them, even though I am grossed out by some of them (spiders especially). And since we got nets in our windows, it is very rare to even see an insect in our flat.

However, there are two kinds of insects I totally hate and will kill/shoo away on sight.

1) Mosquitoes... I wouldn't mind giving them my blood, if it didn't itch so much afterwards, and if they didn't make the awfull buzzing noise, making it impossible to sleep. Oh and the diseases they spread, but not so much in my country. Anyways, I shoo them away when I'm outside, but if they are already feeding, or if I find them inside, I kill them. SLAM. Just like that. Yeah.

2) Wasps... Hate them, it is proven that they even attack people just for the heck of it. When I see one of them inside my house, I try to kill them, unlike bees that I try to let out. When outside, I try not to move when one of them is flying around me, hoping it will go away.

As for bees and hornets.... I like bees, they only attack when threatened, even giving up their lives. And they are useful. And I like honey.

Hornets... I read that they are in fact quite peaceful, but I am intimidated by them to say the least. They are freakin' huge! Also, my mom is allergic to bee/wasp/hornet stings, and once she had to go to hospital when a hornet flew below her shirt and stung her. Scary, and since I never got stung by any of these, I kinda fear them, cause I might be allergic too.

Oooops, that turned out to be longer than expected, sorry :D

EDIT: How did I forget about normal flies? When I was younger, on our cottage, I always went on a fly killing spree, there were dozens on the wall of the house, and I just swatted away, counting, usually went over 100 before I got bored/distracted. Don't do it anymore obviously, my view of living things changed/evolved quite a bit since then, with all the no-meat-eating and whatnot. But I hate them still, they are annoying, ugly, and they have to carry loads of "shit" on their feet, landing everywhere and being dirty. Ugly little fuckers they are, I generally only shoo them away, since I don't see them anymore in our insect-proof flat.

What Videogames Are You Playing Right Now?

I was expecting something else, judging from the title :D Made me smile.

In other news, since I recently upgraded my PC a little bit, I am now able to run PS2 games on emulator with around 50-60 fps most of the time, so I can finally play FF X and Tales of the Abyss. Played a little of both, then picked TotA to be the first game I'll play. I liked Luke more than Tidus, and was feeling like a Tales game, since after I reinstalled my PC, I kinda forgot to back up my save from Tales of Phantasia, and I don't feel like playing 15 hours through the same content before I reach the point where I had the save.

Not to mention, Tales of the Abyss looks gorgeous, kinda reminded me of Valkyria Chronicles, especially the menus. And being able to see/avoid monsters on the field is so much better than the random encounters in Phantasia. Playing PS2 games on the keyboard will probably be a little rough though, since there are more buttons than in PS1 games, and in Quick time events, it's hard to hit the right keys, not to metion analog movements (possible with mouse? I dunno). But I'll make it work somehow, it's worth it.

I kinda feel bad about playing those games for "free", but in my country, I can barely get some of these old hits, and when I can, they are usually used versions, which means I wouldn't be supporting the developers, only giving my money to some random guy. They should have released Tales of Vesperia on the PS3 outside Japan, they would get my money for that. And Tales of Graces F is still pretty far away...

So as far as RPGs go, I'm golden for quite some time with the new PS2 possibilites, and since I will be working day and night till january, I won't get that much gaming time anyway, especially when I mix epic long rpgs with starcraft 2 multiplayer, and with Skyrim on the way.... Oh bother, enough gaming for a lifetime right there. Days really need to be like 10 hours longer or something.

EDIT: Heh, scratch that, I overestimated my PC, Tales of Abyss does slow down quite a bit in some areas, which kills the atmosphere for me. Combat is fine and fluid though... Anyway, moving on to Tales of Eternia.

What Videogames Are You Playing Right Now?

Well you can always create a second battle.net account, I have one for WoW and now one for SC2, since I forgot the WoW one.

EDIT: Just finished Nier, what a great game, I cried manly tears I have to admit. I'm a sucker for good story endings, and after I got the first ending, I checked Kayne's background story, and watched the rest of the endings on youtube (I'm not one of those people who go through the same content multiple times just to get to the other endings when there is NOTHING else changed in the game). The very last ending was the best I gotta say. I'm glad I spent money on this game, very worth it.

What Videogames Are You Playing Right Now?

It's funny how pirates get their game not only without any DRM and online authentication hassles, they also usually get the game sooner before it is even released. And yet, game developers still tell us how they did this and that kind of DRM to prevent pirating, hurting only the customers who buy the game. (for example, blizzard removing offline singleplayer from Diablo 3, to prevent "piracy". Everyone knows the game will be on torrents the moment it is released anyway, WITHOUT the need to be constantly logged to battle.net)

.... Sigh.

Anyways, sorry for the slight offtopic. It's just something that really bugs me in the industry.
