You see not a bird but an American lady who likes other ladies. Oscillates between shy as a mouse and babbling violently, seemingly at random.
I like badasses. I like babes. I like badass babes the best. Okay...actually I like doggoes the very best, but I aspire to make games about badass babes is my point.
I use music from bands and artists in the free games I make: the frustrated filmmaker in me is very enamored of scoring scenes with rock'n'roll soundtracks Scorcese or Tarantino style. In addition to being a time honored tradition in cinema, this has a history in AAA videoogames as well (for a really great use of it, see Bioshock: Infinite). If I was a millionaire, I'd totally license these songs so I could actually use them legally.

Crazy Rich Statisticians
This is the first time I've ever not gotten the joke in the title. Is there a movie called Crazy Rich? I feel so out of touch.

Two quickish questions:
a) Is it at all possible to donate anonymously? (i.e. most people's Paypal accounts are linked to their real names, some people might not feel comfortable giving out that information for whatever reason)
b) Is it at all possible to make a (sizable) one-time donation rather than signing up for monthly donations?

RMN's Sexy Demographics Touch Encounters
(Kentona that last one just looks like a regular topic lol since we all know what a Game Jam is.)
Hali, why is your name endlessly flashing

Theme Roulette
(I don't think I could even make out the hate speech with his thick accent from Whereverestan. Also the font was terrible so I couldn't read the hate speech either lol. I mean later in the game, yes I was like "that's pretty offensive", but not as fast as you made the call.)
MORE IMPORTANTLY:
Wow, I just wanted to say I'm very surprised, and also grateful and honored, to have been Spotlighted for the little game I made for this event.

Dedication
Thanks, Ozzy. I was a writer before I was a game designer, and dedications have always been a big deal to me. I dunno why I didn't think of extending the concept to my RM Games until now. Partly, I think it's that I was away from the community for a long, long time and got a little sentimental on returning to it.
I was genuinely shocked to discover that charas-project.net actually still exists.
Exactly LockeZ.
And the site's appearance is like angelfire bad and the vast majority of resources on there are either a) bad or b) stolen. And there are so many other more legit sources for resources (2k3 or otherwise). I thought between all these factors it would definitely be gone-zo, that I was amazed Charas was hanging in there.
That said, I'm glad it was because it was the only place I could find a parallax of a city at night that was actually a parallax i.e. horizontally scrollable. (Actually on reflection I'm not sure of the exact technical definition of parallax.)
But I do know at some point I bought the SF Battlebacks pack from Degica and I tried editing several of those to do the job, along with a bunch of other stuff from various sources, but all of them had "seams" on the sides that ruined the horizontal scrolling effect. The pano I found on Charas didn't, and didn't lose too much quality in resizing for Ace.
The things we do for a title screen.

Chapelwaite
Sorry to disappoint, there will not be a sequel (I've got two unrelated game projects I'm actively working on and about five more ideas jotted down in a notepad file). The ending is the way it is because that's the way Stephen King ended the story.
About the bugs, let me know if any of them are game breaking, and I'll fix them and upload a new version. Short of game breaking, though, this is a finished project. In any case, I'm glad you enjoyed it and I appreciate you bringing any game breaking bugs to my attention.

Vis-Nov-Make
Could anyone who's familiar with Degica's Visual Novel Maker software tell me all you can about its capabilities and limitations? I get the impression that it can be used to make (limited) RPGs or adventure games but I'm uncertain. I'm interested in the program primarily because of all of the gorgeous graphical assets available for it. As I've stated before, I'm not a huge fan of the VN genre per se.
I realize this is the second "tell me all about this program" thread I've made, and sorry. I'll try not to make a habit of it.
Anything I learn from y'all will be much appreciated, tyvm.
