THERPGMAKERADDICT'S PROFILE

A player of almost every Rpgmaker2000/2003 game ever made (in english, italian, spanish, japanese, russian and german), fond of drawing (from portraits to pixel art), writing, rpgs (tabletop, crpg and jrpg) and fantasy addict (including Final fantasy, of course).

Review Vote Guidelines:
1/1.5 - so horribile I will not mention it. No one would like this trash.
2/2.5 - bad but with some good qualities or good
but with many bad flaws. Could have been worse and some people may like it anyway.
3/3.5 - from decent to good games. This is what I normally expect: entertainment. Some people may like it more, others less but it's ok!
4/4.5 - exceeded my expectations. These are must play for everyone.
5 - Rpgmaker Nirvana

*NOTE*: event games/jam submissions and other games that were developed in a very short time or with other restrictions get a rating bonus (usually +0,5), you are warned!

SUPER MARIA RPG Review

author=BigGreenCreatures
Thanks for the review! If I was playing this game today, I would have rated it a 3 out of 5, so I am grateful for the extra half star you gave it. If you liked this one, you should check out my game TRASH PLANET that I put out back in 2020!~

Hello, yes I was a bit generous but for a good reason: at first I was setting for a 3/5, then the custom graphics (that while they create a bit of clash of styles are surely an extra effort) and some amusing descriptions and unexpected cutscenes and the cool ending (even if it wasn't entirely that unexpected) made it stand out from the mass of average games that offers nothing new or inspiring despite the lack of errors and bugs.
Ok I will surely check the other game too when I can!

Thank you so much for taking the time to write this! I really enjoyed reading it and your criticism was very fair and helpful and I appreciate the nice words so much. It means the world to me that people play my games and find something positive in them, so this was quite touching. c:

I sincerely liked this game anyway I did not want to spoil what happens, for obvious reasons! I was constantly surprised.

By the way, the 1bit faces are not based on real people, it is just very easy to make things look "real" with the low 1bit resolution and the style I used lol, but I'm very happy to hear it looks convincing. Only the room shots were made with photo references.

Really? I was totally fooled, I believe these were edited/downgraded.
The two "look into the eyes" parts were really unnerving by the way. Heh.

War of Existence Review

2016 looks so distant now and sometimes it feels like it was yesterday, looking back I see there's lots of things I could've done better.
Once I'm done with my current project later this year I will deliver a vastly improved and extended version of War of Existence just like players deserve it.
Thank you for playing and sharing your thoughts about it, it helps a lot.

Thanks! This game was really inspired, I liked a lot the concept and also the final result (only flaws I Can really find are due to the limitations of the engine for the most part so yeah, pretty cool)!

It's always very interesting seeing people go back and play some of my very earliest work. We had very different ideas as to what the game should be, but I'm glad you found it enjoyable regardless!

Thank you for taking the time to try it!

Heya! Well I had fun playing it, I mean, Speak no Evil was pretty good and atmospheric, but this one was even better in my opinion. Some old games should be remembered, they have a certain charm I cannot find in some of the more recent rpgmaker games (not to mentione that these two games I mentioned do not use the usual cute "chibi" graphic style and that's good when we play a dark/horror game)!

Esper Unleashed Review

Hello RpgmakerAddict and wow thanks so much for playing and reviewing my jam entry for the 6th annuel driftwood jam :D I'm so happy to hear that you enjoyed most of the game!~ I'll also keep in mind any improvements that can be made for future projects! :D Thanks so much once again! :D

Yes yes, I liked it, it's just a pity this was made for a jam, since I'd really liked it to be longer, at least from a story point of view but ok! This is very good anyway!

Secret of the Necronomicon Review

author=pianotm
Well, thank you! I can't take credit for anything except the graphics and the story setup.

Well graphics are appropriate, and the story setup is nice indeed. I mean too many game even official ones like CoC Dark Corners of the World aren't that faithful to the setting, and considering this was also a game made for an event... well done!
