Hey thread. I'm putting together a Steam Greenlight video/montage, and would love some feedback before I commit to anything! Here's my first draft:

Audio mixing feels a bit off. When there are sound effects, they feel too quiet compared to the music. Then the sounds cut out entirely halfway through.
I'd go with either no sound, or equalized mix throughout.

Some screens from my first (and only) project. These are from the world map. I have no idea what I'm doing, so criticism (good or bad) will be met with much love.
You're on the right track. I actually really like these; Too many world maps are flat looking, while yours has a lot of depth and personality to it.
The one critique I have is with the wood fence atop the brown cliffs; the colors blend a bit too much. Not necessarily your fault, but something else might look better.
That RTP is very boxy, so I'm not sure if you can do much to alleviate that. But it's still good stuff; keep going.

Technically, Rm2k3 is the second newest RM engine there is. Besides, VX Ace engine games have a tendency to shit themselves when their scripts go bust from my experience. This doesn't happen with Rm2k3 unless you try to do something wack like boarding vehicles during a cutscene.

Oh, you and your new engines.
I don't like paying for games with bad tech.
I'll be honest that I haven't bought AF because it's 2k3. I had enough of my past eaten up by its bugs and quirks.
Having said that, if the goal here is to take a game and put fancier clothes on it, so be it. That doesn't much excite me, but it doesn't have to! I'll still keep an eye on it.
