I made this site and it's awesome. But I don't run it anymore. Now I'm just a plebe like you.

There is a considerable difference between professional/commercial game development and what mostly goes on here. Professional situations demand deadlines and money to keep lights on. You do not have eternity to fine-tune a game.

Community Spotlight Interview: Something Classic

So freaking pumped for this to come out. Glad my name is on the list of folks who pledged. Although I gave enough to get the betas, I didn't want to spoil myself.

Sorry, just one instance of it. The readme talks about how to run the engine and it talks about it there:
https://github.com/rpgtkoolmv/corescript/blob/8129c364f208263d5086367e4f21f00081179715/README.md#L196

requestAnimationFrame should not be used for logic updates. It's fine for initial work, but rAF is incredibly time sensitive.

Optimally there would be a web worker or something controlling the simulation. I'd consider this Large Flaw #1.

I think the roadmap is decent, but oh man is the versioning kinda... underwhelming. Project could definitely use some more solid organization and planning.

Also I just realized: MV's gameloop is tied to requestAnimationFrame?! Jesus balls that is not good. I'd consider that like, priority 1 to fix.

Yep! And that's flattering! I didn't know (or don't remember) that it was your favorite.

Considering how much love I poured into R3P and how little attention it got back in the day, I was always very despondent about it. It's always cool to be reminded that some people did actually care about it; particularly people that have had success in the industry themselves!

RPG Maker developers who went on to produce games professionally

Came in here to post about Kamau and it was in the OP!

He's a pretty classy fellow, too. He has a pretty cool shooting game he made himself last year called "Switch 'n Shoot".

I actually just checked your game out the other week. What's the status on gamepad support? ;) I couldn't really get into it due to the lack of it.
There's gonna be gamepad support, maybe x box controller too. But not anytime soon, very later.

God damn it I have an XBO controller in my hands right now.
