Linus: The Forgotten Days Review

I just wanted to comment on a few things.

- Again, thanks. I don't necessarily think of myself as a really good writer (I'm way better at writing in Spanish, my native language), so it does wonders for my confidence to see that you think of me as talented. I know there are some grammatical errors, and I'll definitely fix these in time for the next demo release.

- I'm glad you liked the little NPC scenes that don't have to do a lot with the main storyline . I really do think that a lot of game makers treat their NPCs like walking pieces of paper who serve no huge purpose or anything. NPCs should really have their own little quirks and "roles" in the game world (even if they're small). Otherwise, what would really be the point of speaking to them?

- About the graphical inconsistencies. Honestly, this isn't a huge deal for me. I know a lot of people frown upon graphical inconsistency, but I really don't think my graphics clash too horribly with each other. It's not like in some games where you have ripped sprites from Megaman X3 walking around on an RTP map. If it becomes a huge issue and people start to really complain about the graphics, then I'll definitely make them more presentable.

- About the music. The game will have an original classical soundtrack when it's completed. The custom music will be in the same vein as the stuff you hear in this teaser demo, but will have things like character motifs and the like.

Once again, thanks for the review, and I hope you find some time to review the next demo (which will be released some time next month).

Linus: The Forgotten Days Review

The song in the pub is a french vocal song. The musical troupe is supposed to be "playing" it. Since there's a lot of dialogue in the pub, I didn't want to have the vocals in the song too loud, as that could make it distracting.

Anyway, thanks again. I really appreciate the feedback,

Thanks for the review wombats. I appreciate you taking the time to play it. One thing I'm kind of confused about is your points about some of the music selection being too "soft". What exactly do you mean by this? Is the volume too low? Or did you not think the music had enough "oomph"?

Anyway, I kind of had some difficulty with the demo. I have this very large world with it's own history and I didnt want to make it a scrolling wall of text or something, so I opted to have the most important points of the lead-in story as a playable prologue. The following chapters will have a lot more gameplay.

Also, about Helios having the Tanith sprite. He is supposed to be incredibly feminine. So yeah.

Anyway, thanks again!
