Final Fantasy : Mystic Quest Remastered

I did exactly that :\ I installed 1.2 (base) and then ran 1.4 patch. Same thing: "attempt to access invalid memory"
Dont panic :P
Please submit your full computer specifications, e.g processor, memory, operating system and what programs you have running and I'll see what's causing the problem.

Huh? The game is already patched and I'm trying to run it from game.exe -- what is there to locate?
Best tips for install:
Install the full installation first (1.2)
DONT install 1.3 patch then 1.4, that may break the install.
Directly install 1.4 patch over 1.2, then the game will work.
Right now I'm waiting for RMN to approve the new installer that includes all the latest changes so it's easier to install, should be up shortly.

Whats the spell damage formula?
And beholder are hard because of their healing spell... I kepp hitting them with my strongest spells and they just heal it away.
The spell damage formula depends on the spells. All elemental spells are the same base damage, depending on their level, e.g Thundara is a focused thunder spell, so it's damage is is 500 with 20 variance, plus has thunder element, then we add the spirit of the character using it to that number, then add 30. (Blizzara and Fira would be the same) It always in MQ depends on the enemies weakness to elemental attacks. In the case of Beholder, for example, It is weak to piercing (Bow and arrows) and all elemental attacks. Beholder is also susceptible to all status effects, so they are quite easy to defeat if you silence them.
In the case of Flare, and Mega-Flare which I changed earlier, thier base damage is the highest (900, 1200), add the spirit level to that and it can be quite lethal. It's also set at a higher critical ratio, so it's not uncommon for it to nearly reach 9999. (Which wasn't even possible in MQ)It also ignores defense so it can deal even more damage to enemies that even have strong defense.

If Zeromus is to be included for the reason of being the final boss of Final Fantasy IV, you might as well include Necron because he was the final boss of Final Fantasy IX.Both are chump bosses.
You got that right, they are examples of the best FF bosses.
Aww...now I want to include Rubicante XD

I wonder if ACE actually has the ability to dynamically change enemy battle sprites? Honestly, more than VA or FMV, the ability to show battle damage to enemies during battles would be on my #1 most requested list XD
I wouldn't actually need to upgrade to ACE for that, since I could code that pretty easily. Consider it done my friend. :P
Refresh the page and you'll see it added!

If this confusing basically anything in green here means the changes are included in the latest downloads. :P

Latest patched released, version 1.4:
http://www.mediafire.com/?4q1jt7a6w7cb6f6
1.4 Patch is a big upgrade to MQRM in general and heavily improves gameplay and enjoyablitiy of the game. It also patches some serious game stopping bugs.
List of changes:
-Updated Battle Scenes so that area specific backgrounds are used (from Ace RTP, modified). Swirly effect has been removed in favor of this (except for on bosses)
-Gameplay mechanics have been updated so that enemies appear on the maps, as they did in the original MQ. Random encounter rate has been reduced on all maps to compensate for this, giving more of a 'suprise' attack instead of a random attack every now and then. Enemies are not static either, they will walk about on screen, (usually towards Benjamin!) and some will gaurd doorways and treasure boxes like they did in MQ.
-Bug in where you would fight Gidrah in Giant Tree would make the game freeze after winning, not allowing you to move on. This has been fixed.
-Slow character levels up in comparison to Benjamin has been fixed. EXP curve and inflation has been raised to be near Benjamin's EXP curve.
-More use for the Mega-Grenade and Bombs instead of just for game story purposes, they are actually now used in-game like in MQ!
-Minor changes to dungeon layouts and treasure chest placements
-Fixed low base damage for Flare and Mega-Flare spells to increase attack damage at a reasonable level.
-Minor changes to Elemental magics to deal higher damage at a reasonable level.
-Updated battler for Rat (ACE RTP)
-Updated battler for Jellyfish (ACE RTP)
-Updated battler for Ghost (ACE RTP)
-Updated battler for Skeleton (ACE RTP)
-Updated battler for Gayzer and Beholder (ACE RTP)
-Updated battler for Hot Wings (ACE RTP)
-Updated battler for Chimera and Gidrah (ACE RTP)
-Updated battler for Death Mimic (ACE RTP)
-Updated battler for Sahagin (ACE RTP)
-Updated battler for Ogre (ACE RTP)
-Updated battler for Slime and Water Jelly (ACE RTP)
-Updated battler for Minotaur and Minotaur Zombie (ACE RTP)
-Updated battler for Behemoth (ACE RTP)
-Updated battler for Ice Nymph (ACE RTP)
-Updated battler for Cagnazzo (ACE RTP)
-Updated battler for Cerberus (ACE RTP)
-Updated battler for Ifrit (ACE RTP)
-Updated battler for Ninja and Shadow (ACE RTP)
