Oh btw just added an event in Bone Dungeon where Tristam gives you the bombs as a weapon :P
Yay! :D

Just beat Cagnazzo. The bosses until now were never to hard or to easy.
The Centaurs also do alot of dmg. with their Bull's Eye ability. (1200+)

And no problem on reporting the bugs and balance things^^
Im happy to help^^
Hehe. Only trouble I'm having is deciding whether to allow the bombs to expend as they would, naturally, or just have them as infinite. But you could pretty much never run out of them any way in MQ so I'm not sure it's worth the additional effort to allow them to run out...

XD Yeah that boss took me a while to plan out. I hated the original squid boss in MQ it didn't serve it's purpose for being, it was just there, so yeah it helps beef up the story a bit. Oh and the Centaurs I made them to be a bit evil on you by using Bull's Eye but their high experience makes them worthy opponents to beat.

And thanks, your help is much appreciated.

The Exp and Gil you gain per battle are kind of random. I just got 5575 exp from one centaur but only got 750 exp from 3 Gayzers. The gayzers also do 300+ damage with their life drain ability which is a lot when all 3 are using it.
OK, thanks, I'll add it to the patch. Good of you to report these problems since it help finding them much easier (as you know, it's alot to remember when playing through over and over) XD

Download the game from their site. There is a download link with 2 parts which isnt corrupted.

I reached Aquaria now and the game got some balance issues. The ice Nymph enemy does 300+ dmg. with her water spell but only 10 dmg with her normal attack and icy breath. The Werewolves have over 1500 Hp and only do 1 dmg.

But where are the bombs?

Wow can't believe I didn't notice this on my second playthrough. I've changed those enemies stats now. Just looked through the database and everything else looks fine. Must have overlooked them.

Ah. About the bombs- you won't see them until you get to Fireburg. At the time scripting the bombs for me was technically impossible but come a later version and we may see this happening like it does in the original. You see post-Foresta area the events are in tip-top shape, so I'm going back over everything.

Great...how long do you think it will be to be able to d/l the game, the patch and fixed corrupt files?

The game download is currently pending on rmn's side, shouldn't be long now.
As for the patch it will probably be ready by tommorow since there's a few other things I want to improve, and we are talking about maybe a 256k patch install file so that's no problem :P

This isn't HD bro.

Due to the confusion caused (we actually meant higher definition, by graphics quality, not HD as in High Definition) we've changed the name to simply 'Remastered Version'.

All problems that have been found are going to be resolved in a patch :)

Looks interesting. I'll give it a try.

Edit: Found a bug. After you get tristam you are able to get another Tree Wither in the Forest and Kaeli back into the Team.

Edit 2: Found another bug. When you walk into that giant tower and go down there you are able to talk to that old man and he tells me that i rescued the earth crystal what i didnt do yet.

By the Way: Is there a merchant somewhere?

Yikes! Thanks to this bug, it's possible to skip quite a bit of the game with another because of it. We will release a patch for this, thanks!

Not bad.. but it.. just does not feel enough like a sequel to MQ.. simply because the graphics look nothing like that game, it's all the default VX stuff.

That's OK, it's not for everyone. :P

Looking forward to playing this but it wont d/l. Says files are corrupted.

Ah that's a shame :(
I'm currently uploading the file to RMN right now, so don't lose hope!
The file is quite big since use of videos during gameplay, so it may take a while yet.Sometimes we do have trouble with our server, so hopefully the RMN download will be OK once it gets the go ahead :)

Minor nitpick: It's Reuben, not Rueben. Also, why are there two characters above level 41?

The screenshot was taken in the game's final location, Doom Castle. Remember that the game's difficulty has changed substantially so that the need for higher level characters at these times in the game is needed. There is only two points in the game in which you will use over three characters at one time. (For example, when in the Giant Tree, Pazuzu's Tower, and Mount Gale, It's just you and Kaeli, then when at Doom castle, all four of you are there.)

Actually the original translation was Rubicon, then Reuben, but we are from the UK and for mere pronunciation purposes we changed it round so it's easier.

Also from a technical standpoint battles in this version are random, not fixed, so it's quite possible to level up to LV.99, of course, the game's mechanics take this into account so the difficulty is balanced (it's not too easy, and not too hard)

I hope this answers your question, thanks :)

About how long do you believe it took for you to put this game together?
Hi, thanks for being the first to comment, nice meeting you!
