The Grumpy Knight

I don't think this is the kind of game that usually wins Misaos (since it's short and stuff) but I figured I'd nominate it for a few. It has my vote for best of 2013 probably.

Dragon Slayer

Hey MK2, just played through this and really enjoyed it. It's a very simple, clean, and effective game. Not very ambitious, but at the same time that's sort of the point; and then behind the surface story there's this strong sense of melancholy and the relationship with Valeran's father. Thanks for a nice 15 minutes!

Love and War: Act I

Also: great job on the game. This is maybe a weird thing to focus on, but I think it has the best npcs ever.

Love and War: Act I

Hey all! This is kind of a dumb place to be stuck, but I'm not sure where to go/what to do (pretty near the end of the game I think) after opening the two chests in the mayor's house. Any advice?

Prelude

Hey Ziwei, this looks looks like an interesting project. Played some and didn't get far, but I've never been good at puzzles. The writing and ideas really show some polish; would be especially interested to see what might happen if you were to do another game after this.

Avarice

Hey Solitayre/Anaryu/Krissana, played this and really enjoyed it (factoring the battle system in maybe more than Aetherion, though I'm still really looking forward to the expanded edition of that game). Makes me wonder what you guys could do if you were to make something outside of a contest, considering it only took two weeks for something as awesome as this.

Lunar Wish: Orbs of Fate

Hey Luster, just finished the game and really enjoyed it--the gorgeous presentation and mapping, but especially the comedy. Both the characters and npcs were consistently hilarious (and sadistic), and pretty much every scene was enjoyable for some reason. The polish and execution in general are just great, and really glad to see the administrators decided to feature it. Plus can't wait for the sequel!

Lunar Wish: Orbs of Fate Review

To be honest I sort of liked how arbitrary the bosses were sometimes; and, really, how random lots of the plot was. Something about then just worked, probably because of how funny they tended to be.

The Citadel

Hey itls, this game looks really interesting but it's marked as completed and I don't think there's a download posted. Definitely subscribing though.

Engine Switch

"Mock!!!!"

Though, honestly, it's a shame about the setback but I think this kind of commitment to quality and stuff is awesome. Just stumbled over this game now and it looks great--good luck!
