Well, as far as the original FF1 elemental fiends go... You should see the FF1: Dawn of Souls dungeons on the world map... Lifespring Grotto, Hellfire Chasm, Whisperwind Cove and Earthgift Shrine.
Long story short, there's going to be plenty of cool things to fight outside of the main story scattered all over the world.

I was actually doing some FFD work the other day. Took a small break to read the newest chapter of Shingeki no Kyojin. I had a dark cloud hang over my head for the rest of that day.
Had to step away from work and go play some games instead.

Oh, sweet. You finally posted the new main menu. I love it. :D
I've got a full plate indeed with the location artwork. But hopefully I'll be making lots of progress in the next two weeks. Unfortunately, it seems sprites are at the waaay bottom of my list for now. Aside from the location art, I've had about two dozen-ish character portraits sitting around half finished for a couple of months now. Got to finish those asap. Its more sensible to complete portrait artwork before dealing with the sprites in case the artwork changes down the line...
