Battle Animations "Flipping" Glitch

post=83967
Yes, I have another problem. I'm choosing to use battle animations as my character battle sprites, but whenever I enter a battle (tested or in-game), all the animations "flip" horizontally, offsetting their placement and basically looking very strange. Every animation is 1 frame long, and this type of thing hads worked for me in the past. Help please?

manually flip the battle animations horizontally yourself. they always flip horizontally for when the player attacks, if you haven't noticed.

Summer Screenshot Spectacular!

@East: I would recommend making the player more agile.. or rather, be able to move faster. That seems awful slow, and might become pretty frustrating for players.

I can't help but point out the grammatical error. "OF" should be "FOR". Who is responsible FOR this..

Release Something! Day VII Wrap-up

Sagitar's "Prophecy" is a pretty good and very solid release, I would definitely recommend that one. Not much to speak of in terms of exploration or customization, but the presentation, story, and aesthetics are all very pleasing. The dungeons weren't too much to get excited about, but the game was very riveting. Very cliche story on the surface, but the characters and conflicts therein make alot of the game.

"Knight's Crest" by lolzallen is very stylistic, and I love the old-school gameplay, but I found myself bored to pieces partway into the first dungeon. the battles are all mandatory and there is no customization for your character at all, at least from what i played. I really dig the style and what the author was trying to produce, but some customization or something to DO (besides kill monsters) feels necessary. Perhaps some exploration, or some puzzles. Even "find the key" would be better than "walk down a hallway, kill this monster, go through door, walk down a hallway, kill this monster... etc".

That's all I've played so far.

Eclipse

this game just looks like alundra.

Dash system?

You could use Rpgmaker VX, which has the feature implemented already. But that's probably not something you're looking into.

The Most Important Aspect of a Game

generally, i try to satisfy myself when i play my own game. i playtest everything myself, countless times. if i'm getting tired of something, or feel like something is amiss, i generally work to change said thing until the result is something i'm completely satisfied with.

basically, i really don't have a "most important". i'm not trying to make money or anything, so its not like i have to focus on impressing people or anything.

Lyra's Melody - The Song She Whispered to Me

Beautiful music. I'm not really a fan of 'fairytales', but I'll try this out simply because I appreciate the original score you've got going.
