Is this better, Ron?
The hooded man's eyes is never shown in any scene, so I just pulled down his hood a bit. I also ditched the larger portrait, and tried working with the 96x96 portrait instead. Given that there won't be more than 3 images used in these scenes, I could maybe still get away with using the smaller bust shots, but for some it may be too distracting. So, still deciding there.

Small figures are so hard to draw, not to mention getting their proportions right on top of it. Trying to express everything in just 3 panels could challenge my ability as well, but I'll persevere! :D
Volunteers! I need some.
This must be really frustrating, Ronove, when the game crashed for some people and doesn't for others. And to make matters worse, it's random as well. Hasn't happened to me either... ><

Yes, most of my tiles are Mack ( but I do have some RTP in there as well) and some custom resources from rpgmakervx.net.

Luckily, I do have some form of experience with this, no doubt thanks to my abandoned fan-game. I've been drawing the Phantasy Star IV panels for years ( 2001-2009?, I was crazily obessesed, I made a graphical novel version of it that totalled some 180+ pages >< ), so I do understand the amount of effort that goes into making a completed scene. Backgrounds and perspectives are the things to watch out for. There I need to be careful.
Hoo boy... Started brainstorming for the first major cutscene. Rough draft below.

Character driven vs. Story-driven
I care deeply about my characters and most of them do have deep backstories that I'd love to convey, and now that I'm going to implement comic-style cutscenes, it should be easier to convey character emotion. I'm positive I can pull it off. I do love writing their scenes.
I'd better check out this article now. :)

I don't know. I'm pretty competent when it comes to mapping RMXP-style as well, but I've already developed a distinctive mapping style, even for VX. I know a lot of people aren't fans of VX's blocky mapping, myself included, but I've come to embrace it. Plus, mapping with RMXP through parallaxing would make the game even bigger than what it is already ( audio alone is clocking 90mb ), and it's really going to be a pain for me to upload due to my craptastic internet connection. ><

Yes, PSIV was my first RPG, and it did inspire a number of things. I wish I had an artist for my project...
