THATBENNYGUY'S PROFILE

I am CashmereCat now.

~~~
Twisted baubles replace my brain and I am toxic yet nice. There's a lot to me, but also not a lot going on up there, they say. PM me because I love attention, I do interviews, I do reviews, I do stuff. Here for the long haul. Gotta hustle.
I'm working on whatever I'm working on, and I love RPG Maker games that aren't traditional RPGs. Puzzlers, interactive stories, but nothing too abstract that'll weird me out. Just give me a polished gem and I'll stare at it for days, marveling at the way the light reflects just right, inner inflections, potato top pie.
I want to make games with you.
Completed Ace revision and a new encounter system
That whole blue/red/green colour coding system for event behaviour is genius. If a player can have immediate recognition of gameplay via simple yet subtle visual cues, then you've achieved something great - players having the ability to prove their smartness and skill of recognition due to experience with the game. Which is what any good game should rely on.
The Featured Game Thread
I agree with halibabica about the exposure part.
Also, Rust and Blood deserves a spot I think. Once it wins the All Hallows competition. :I
edit: Oh, and about that list. Heartache 101 already has a ton of exposure, and it's pretty old. I'd say out of those, either Enelysion/Fey/Very Pink Game/Generica: TNG. Leaning towards Fey.
Rust and Blood
I've got a question: how do you keep the framerate so consistent without dropping? I swear there is almost no lag, and I have lag in a lot less graphically demanding games as this. Is it a script or an engine edit? It's OK if it's a developer secret, but I was just kind of dumbfounded at how flawless the framerate performance of your game was, and I'm jealous. :)
All Hallows' Event 2013
Is it too Crazy of me to ask for someone willing to playtest my game in a very short time? I expect to finish my game Wednesday night... I need someone who might play it until Thursday at noon, approximately.
I'd definitely be keen. ;)
Miserere Review
Actually, this review is fantastic. I have not played the game, but I instantly am interested and know what to expect when I play this game. Your wording is also on point. Thanks, man.
Rust and Blood
This game is magnificent. If someone would like to know, it costs less hunger to go the route on the left side than the right side.
It's a really cool game where you have to manage your resources to survive in a hostile environment. I found it hard near the end though trying to find those two boxes. Still need to finish, but the art style is so striking and the gameplay is solid. Nice entry, man. Guaranteed prize-winner here. :)
The Final Sin
Dat ending tho. :)
You Are Not The Hero! Review
You Are Not The Hero! Review
The fact that Petula is "not the hero" is supposed to be ironic, in that the heroes of the game are jerks, and the NPCs are the real good guys. Petula's sole ambition is to get her amulet back, and all the stuff like saving the town comes as a side priority. So she really doesn't want to be a hero, but she's forced into it.
