It would have been nice to know how this was achieved, why you think your game was successful, what you could do better next time, what you learned. Just anything really. (Or I dunno, some of those secret numbers you love bragging about...) But I guess gloating is all you REALLY needed to do to get the respect of your peers.

Disable things one by one until it stops lagging. Examine what you turned off.

You could then try disabling different events to see the result.

You might find one that has a code error, no wait, or something looping that shouldn't. Or it might be that you reached some data threshold, where you are simply doing too much.

But ya, first try it on multiple computers to be sure.

My testers mentioned there was *some* lag, but nothing as crazy as I'm experiencing. XD It's just weird how badly Rm2k3 runs on newer machines, when 5-8 years ago the problem was nonexistent.

Yeah, computer architecture is very different to hardware from 8 years ago. Most programs tend to run worse as hardware improves simply because they cant take advantage of newer hardware and it leads to bottlenecks. Super heavy MV games maintain a smooth 60fps on my rig but games like OFF and the demo for Jimmy and the Pulsating Mass run horribly.
