Would you be interested in publisher services?

If your publishing that means you would be handling all of the pay out of steam, as well as the marketing budget and doing the taxes for its release. I can see you are in Finland, do you have a solid understanding of global Tax and Distribution laws? How big a cut would you take? Publishers don't just distribute games, they fund them, do you have the finances to make that a reality? Do you have the money for a marketing budget for each game? I could keep going and going...

I think I can see what your wanting to do, its something I wish Newgrounds did as when Steam took off (releasing a curated selection of games developed by the Newgrounds community under the Newgrounds banner) BUT I don't know that you really know enough about the business side to do it in a smart way that would actually benefit people.

I love Melbourne! :D

I lived in Melbourne for about 4 years, loved it. Too expensive to move back too though.

Is RTP bad?

This is a tough one, I have been using RPG Maker on and off since 2003 but I have never played a game with RTP. It comes down to the aesthetic to me, I don't think that there's anything particularly wrong with the RTP but to me it makes things look very boring and generic.

The thing I love most about RPG Maker is it gives anybody the ability to make their unique visions a reality without spending a fortune, but there's nothing unique about the RTP, there's no distinct developer voice with it and with no distinct voice I don't see the point in playing a game (and I am aware that I have have probably missed out on some great games because of that).

I would rather play a game with arguably bad custom visuals than with the RTP but I am probably in the minority in that regard. If you are new to pixel art start small and retro and you will improve over time. Nobody expects a masterpiece on the first try.

It's Demo Day!

Really solid demo, establishes the mechanics really well. Only real critique was that I wish the little girls hands moved when she walked side on, it looks a little odd to me as it currently is.

I love the fact both this and Shooty and the Catfish feature a giant scorpion in a cave under an old building as a first boss, ha ha.

Wow! This game was truly wonderful. I loved the animated cutscenes, and the turnip facts were excellent. The music was a pleasant surprise! It also made me do some research on the Flatwoods monster... Great work!

I'm glad you enjoyed it, i'm deep into my next project though, look out for an announcement about it on here in the coming months!

Flatwoods Review

No, @visitorsfromdreams. It's a GREAT thing that those LP'ers didn't read the flavor text... All of that stuff is there only for those who love it. And the ones who love it will seek it out. It also adds to replayability!

Ha ha, I don't know about that (flavor text is one of my favorite things about the Souls series, I just don't think I made it obvious it existed. In my current project I am trying to make which items can be interacted with more visually obvious. Glad you dug it though!

Devlog #2: Cutscene Overload

Really looks like you are pushing the engine to its limits!

Trailer Release

Wicked trailer, really nicely cut to the music, cant wait to play the final game!
