EnmxDev & Using Our Games

I emailed Google about Chosen and they're pretty good with taking down the stuff. However I'm surprised Google hasn't banned this user. But the other sites this guy is on...oh boy. You can find the links to those other sites on the RM official forums.

Yeah, what a scumbag.

Is the game only ended when penelope in the hospital room? Or....

Yes. It's the end of this game. If there is more interest it might be possible for us to make more episodes. As of now there's just episode 1. Thank you for playing!

Valkyrie: Battle of Asgard

@master2015hp

Thanks for playing! Yes, this is mainly designed for the mobile platform. We are still on the fence whether we release it commercially for the PC. It may remain free for the PC. :) Although, we are thinking the PC version could work much better with a controller. Actually, it technically works with a controller now, but there's no setup for it.

TCGs as a basis for skill creation

Another thing that could apply is the “tapping” for resource mechanic.

Say you can level up your characters by upgrading the max amount and types of resources she can use per turn. Instead of using MPs her skills will be limited by her resources.

E.g. She only has two fire tokens, one water, and one colorless/all token. She can only cast spells that add up to those tokens per turn.

Is a quest system a good idea for an RPG Maker game?

With quests the main issue is balance. Even big studio games get this wrong sometimes because it’s hard to predict how many the player will do.

I usually get overpowered half to three quarters of the way through an open world rpg because I am one of those “do every single quest” guys. Understandably, the studio probably designed it so the difficulty’s just right for those who do only half the side quests.

So if you have a quests system, how much to give in exp, gold, and items will become a priority.

Einherjar Review

Hey, thanks so much for the comprehension review as well as the video play throughs! I'm glad you got to enjoy the game, well, somewhat anyway. :p

Yeah, the balance is a little off in that it was rushed for the game contest and we never got around to tweaking it further after that. We hope that we can improve on that sometime in the probably not near future.

Thanks for playing!

@boos405 Thanks so much for the compliment! However, this particular project was a collaborative effort of many of us on the team for that year's IGMC. Especially much of the excellent writing was done by Nick Neace.

Still, thanks for liking the game. It encourages us devs to make better stuff. :)

Blacksword Chronicles Review

Thanks so much for the review! I'm glad you enjoyed it. Like I said many times to fans over the years, there WILL be a sequel...or actually sequels, eventually. This is actually the first chapter of an epic that will most likely span 5 games. The story of Dust has only just begun. Parts of the story has already been written but right now I just don't have the time and funding to properly finish this epic. Still, I say this project is a personal pet project of mine, and it will get done someday. Hopefully we can get it started again soon.

Guild of Five Magics

@Akki53iky0 Yes, this is on purpose. As mentioned in the story, the leader of your guild is not a strong magic user at all. He or she excels at management skills and not in magic combat, so her Force will never go beyond 1. Your main fighters will be the mages you recruit and train.

@boos405 Thank you!

@EgyLynx I think probably more people beat this but didn't bother to post their results here. You guys should! It's fun to see what teams people use to beat the game.

@AeroFunk80 I'm glad to hear that you're enjoying the game! But most of all I'm really happy as you're the first one to agree with me that music with singing sounds great. There's a lot of potential with voiced music I think. I don't know why but many people who played the game before hated the music with singing. Guess it's a matter of taste.
