Name: Chronicles: The Lost Page
Link: https://rpgmaker.net/games/12239/
Status: Complete
Genre: Traditional turn-based RPG with minor horror elements
Estimated length: 3-4 hours
Small description: A game set in the Chronicles universe taking place 15 years after a cataclysm that nearly destroyed the world. You play as Treck, a wanderer who travels across the barren world helping people in need. One day, he stumbles across a mission to take down Karakal, a monster that can turn anyone it looks at to stone. Now he must venture into the dangerous desert caverns to defeat Karakal and save the nearby village. Will he escape alive, or become yet another victim of the fell beast's curse?
Special requests: I would prefer if the reviewer mainly focused on the gameplay, with a bit for the story and music. No videos are required, but captioned images are very much preferred. Also, try to avoid the electric element as much as possible. The "paralysis" status is bugged so when its triggered it will crash the game. All electric attacks have a 5% chance to cause paralysis, while the Shadow Warg (early game enemy) has a 10% chance to inflict it with one of their attacks. There is also a lot of optional content, so make sure to do most if not all of it before finishing the game.

Sorry that I'm double posting, but it's been almost 48 hours and my game still isn't on the list... Is it because the description is too long? If so, I'll try again.

The opening post of this thread hasn't been updated since... Darigaaz, November of 2020? Welp.

*Edit: It might take some time to figure out where, exactly, the OP left off, and what games have been added, and/or reviewed, since then. Would it actually be helpful to update the OP, or... be lazy devs/mods, and just leave it as-is?

Yeah, I was in the process of sorting every game out, but then realized it would take me all day so I stopped. Maybe I should continue and become the new "loremaster" of this thread? IDK. That's probably what I'll do actually.

Fair enough!

*As a point of information, I tried checking the gamepages of Feral Solidarity and Zero Gear Fighters, and both have Anti-Climbing Paint.

Hey Marrend. I know you posted this all the way back in 2016, but what is Anti-Climbing paint? I tried googling it and looking it up on urban dictionary but all I found was a myth/urban legend in the parkour community that certain buildings have anti-climbing paint on them to discourage parkour and a thing called "climbing paint" in games where certain surfaces have markers on them telling you where you can climb. I know Zero Gear Fighters is bad game (I did make it when I was only 13 after all) but I don't think there was anything like that in that game? And even then that's "climbing paint," not "anti climbing paint." Can you explain what exactly that is? Is is like when something looks climbable but isn't? I know this is beyond late (almost by a decade in fact) but I'm completely lost here. What is anti-claiming paint? Thanks.

What is anti-claiming paint?

Basically, what is presented to the user as the site's [404: Page Not Found] error page when attempting to access a hidden, or deleted page. I call it that because of the image shown on such pages.

*Edit: For what it is worth, at the time of that post, Zero Gears Fighters was probably hidden from public view, but, seems to be accessible now. Not so much for Feral Solidarity!

Oh, okay. Yeah, I did private Zero Gear Fighters and Dragon Ascension for a bit before bringing them back up and updating them to fix their major bugs in like 2019 or so. Thanks for explaining.

I actually still remember which game doesn't get any review (since i used to swept the whole thread and reviewed those who haven't got any).
Maybe add luke daimont:absolute mayhem to the list too since the developer wants to get another review.

Great. Mind reviewing my game also? Since I'm pretty sure other than Luke Daimond it's the only one that hasn't gotten a review yet. I'll add Luke Daimond right away.

Edit: Just saw that Luke Daimond has 3 reviews, 2 more than when it was last discussed in this thread. Should I really still include it? What does everyone think?
I dont mind but it might take a while since i still got a lot of other games queued up to play... was planning to give luke daimont a try but i still haven't be able to touch it since last month either...

I feel like you have a lot of presentation issues that make me not even want to ask for a free game. Your trailers focus purely on combat and despite you saying it is like a visual novel, the conversations look minimalist. There seems to be a big emphasis on the antagonists, but their designs are not interesting and you have not provided anything interesting about them that I could notice. Character designs were quite lifeless for these antagonists as well. The only things I really noticed was that combat looked nice and there was primarily custom art. The writing inspired little confidence for a visual novel experience to be enjoyable.

Hi, I understand the feedback, And I should've clarified that the game is indeed battle-focused, so it's not aimed at pure visual novel lovers. Still, it does have Visual-Novel-styled story-telling, and I may not have presented them enough in trailers and whatnot, but the story opens up a lot more as you progress, and you will get to know why a certain villain is a big Christmas hater, and you can get to know your mercenaries via speaking to them at camp. :D

But yeah, the Visual-novel aspect of this, I must admit, is quite minimal, but it is an element of how the game presents its stories and dialogues. :) Hence why I call it "Visual-Novel STYLED storytelling" instead of outright "Visual Novel" xD With that said, I may make a story-focused trailer for this game sometime in the future. :)
