Seraphic Blue (セラフィックブルー) is a 50+ hour epic RPG made by Tempura in RPG Maker 2000 v1.51, and is highly-received in the Japanese RPG Maker community, most notably for its story. It has 2 versions: the original (made in 2004) and Director's Cut (made in 2006). The version translated here is Director's Cut.

Seraphic Blue is well-known for its
- Deep and intriguing atypical dark storyline with a deep underlying message
- Highly creative custom battle and menu systems
- Flexible equipping with the Sphere System
- Precise cutscene transitions and dialogue pauses, making the cutscenes feel more alive.
- Custom artworks to accompany some cutscenes
- Awesome music and well-used sound effects
and many more.

Sample in-game video of Seraphic Blue:

NOTE1: This is NOT created by me. It is created by a man named Tempura (known as Sakaki in the game credits). I am the sole translator of this game (with kumada as the proofreader), and I have permission to translate this game from Tempura himself. Credits to Tempura and his team for creating such an awesome game :)

Blog 42: Revised Title Screen

Hi everyone!

Well, this blog serves to talk about a minor revision to the title screen. I've been meaning to revise the text in the title screen 'cause, you know, the Engrish options that are New-Birth of Blue, Revive of Blue and Away from Blue. And so today, I've done just that and you can see the revised title screen:

I wanted to keep the "Blue" part, so only the 1st two options have been revised. Let me know what you all think if you will, but I think I'm pretty satisfied with this version and if nothing else, I will put this as the new title screen for this game.

I imagine he'd have a bit of a hard time having to copy and paste the dialog from the original translation to the new one, plus having to translate the new added stuff in the game.

But on the off chance he does do that, it'd be pretty hardcore, cause Alter looks fun, especially that boss mode. ^_^
I heard that there was a Seraphic Blue Alter with the same story, different systems and a Disastia battle added. Any plans to translate it, since the story translation will mostly be the same?

When I extract it with 7-Zip, I get a lot of errors regarding oddly-named image files. WinRAR works fine, though, so keep this in mind.

Thanks for highlighting! I didn't know 7-Zip won't be able to unzip the files properly (those files are Japanese-named files that aren't used in the game). But I'll remove those files and reupload again!

Thank you so much! You don't know how much I appreciate this. I don't have to start everything from the very beginning now! You're fuckin dope man!

Hello, I'm new here and I just was wondering if anyone had any save files at episode 27 or anywhere near there. I'm sorry for any inconvenience. Thank you!

I have a save file at episode 27, but it's before the boss fight with the duo. Here's the save file if you want:

@Ghabry: Yeah, I guess this bug applies to all RPG Maker 2000/2003 games?
Saves written by EasyRPG are not working in RPG_RT.
This is a bug (RPG_RT doesn't like something in the LSD file :/), the other direction works.
Thanks man. Got through it. And yes, I'm enjoying playing it. Thanks for the translation.
@Game_Breaker: I played your save file using EasyRPG, and I found a way to bypass the Japanese. See the words "<カナ>" at the bottom right of the screenshot you posted? Click that once, and it'll change to "Letter". Click that again, and you'll get the English alphabet keyboard :)

Hope you're enjoying this game so far, btw :)

I'm playing it in english. This is the only japanese part.
Can you send me your save file so that I can take a look?

EDIT: And the interface looks different. Are you playing on a mobile phone emulator or mobile phone? I assume it's EasyRPG Player on Bluestacks? If it is, can you check here http://support.bluestacks.com/hc/en-us/articles/203075417-How-to-Change-the-Language-setting- and let me know if it really in English? Because I need to confirm as I have never tried out this game on EasyRPG Player.

Yes, I*m using EasyRPG.

Here's the save file, but I tried to run it on pc and it didn't work. (Stream read error)
The funny thing is, that I can run my savefiles from pc on mobile phone, but it doesn't wokr vice versa.

@Game_Breaker: Hmm, first time I've seen this problem. Try playing the game in English and not Japanese? I'll look into this in the meantime.

EDIT: Yeah, play this game in English. It should convert to English.
Hi, I've got a problem with lab door password ep.39. I've to write the password in japanese. Btw. I downloaded the game in 1.1.2016

I can't start the final battle. When I answer yes to the second prompt to start it, I get an error popup that says "Invalid Pixel Format".

I'm playing this on Windows Vista in XP SP 2 compatibility mode.

Edit: I found out it was the OrganizeMenu_ex.png file that was causing the issue. I copied OrganizeMenu.png, renamed it to OrganizeMenu_ex.png, and replaced the original. This made the character select screen look like the normal one, which allowed me to progress and win.

Oh, right. I actually made a change to that file in the latest patch, but I think I saved it in the wrong format. Thanks for highlighting it. I'll get right to fixing it.

I'm nearing the end of the game now. While playing with sphere setups, I noticed that the Contaminant series of guard spheres actually increase status inflict rates rather than status resist rates, despite the description.
